-Motor NTM 35-48 900kv, Propeller 13X6, Battery Turnigy nanotech 2650Mah 4S, 780W, 56A: Not enough power!
-Motor Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 4250-500kv, Propeller 14x10, Battery Turnigy nanotech 2650Mah 4S, 460W, 30A: Not enough power!
-Motor Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 4250-500kv, Propeller 14x7, Battery Turnigy nanotech 3300Mah 5S, 475W, 30A: Not enough power!
-Motor Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 4250-500kv, Propeller 16X10, Battery Turnigy nanotech 3300Mah 5S, 710W, 50A: Not enough power!

My setup: Motor Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 4250-500kv, Aerostar Composite Propeller 15x8 Grey (CW), Battery Turnigy nanotech 2200Mah 6S (45c/90c), 1350W, 60A: Perfect (for me). About 2150 gram airplane weight including battery.
With this setup, you cannot fly full speed because your wings are going to clap. But it's a 3d plane no racer… You have enough power left, very handy for starting 3d

Aileron: Goteck GS-9257MG Metal Gear 450 Electric Digital Servo: not satisfied, very inaccurate!
Elevator/Rudder: JX PDI-2506MG 25g Metal Gear Micro Digital Servo: Its ok this servo, but I will not buy them again!

zu meinem Vorbericht habe ich vergessen die Propellergröße anzugeben Nylon /Kohlefaser 15 x 8 Zoll E, außerdem möchte ich noch hinzufügen, dass zu meinen Flugfiguren auch Messerflug und Torquen gehören. Etwas Bauerfahrung ist allerdings erforderlich.

Das Modell ist sehr passgenau und sauber verarbeitet und ist sehr robust.. Ich war überrascht über die super flugeigenschaft, es lässt sich sauber durch alle Figuren fliegen. Ich fliege das Modell mit einem Turnigy Blue Line 60 A Regler und Motor 42-48, 650 Kv, mit Akku Nanotech 2650 mAh, 4 S , 25-50 C . Fluggewicht 2100 g, Standschub 2900 g, 60 A. . Flugzeit überwiegend 1/2 gas 8 Minuten genug Reserve vorhanden, Endlich mal ein Modell bei dem alles stimmt

Excellent plane. Mine is 74 ounces (flying) on 2 x 2200 3S in series, turning a 14 x 7 prop via a Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 4250-500kv motor.

I hinged all my control surfaces very carefully using Blenderm tape on all the bevelled surfaces (they present a very large surface area for adhesion). The bevels were prepped with UHU Por beforehand, and allowed to dry. The top-and-bottom Blenderm hinges run the entire length of the hinge lines. Once the Blenderm is trimmed off flush to the wing surface the hinge is perfect, free and completely airtight. And completely invisible.

An excellent and delightful plane. A joy to fly.

I have many planes but none as good as this. It is super light, and super strong! With the control surfaces wound back, it is a magnificent trainer, it is so easy to fly. I cannot fly 3d, but learning on this is easy, as it comes out of stalls very quickly, due to the large wing area and light weight. I have two of these, and don't really want another, but at this price, with free shipping, they should be selling like hotcakes!

Very nice plane! I love it! Everything is extreme stiff and a lot of carbon inside. It it my first Wood/EPP plane and I am impressed of the quality! Also the design is very nice! Good work Hobbyking!

The model flies superb and will do everything you ask. BUT there is one VERY BIG problem with the model .... the lack of good hinge support for wing to ailerons. The manual shows the typical CA method of installing hinges. This is fine WHEN you have good material and support for hinge - but this model only has a ~1mm thin ply vertical spar in the leading edge of ailerons and in the trailing edge of wing for hinges to glue into. In front and behind is only EPP. Mild maiden flight and a few aerobatics pulled out one aileron and then second causing a serious crash. Model is now being rebuilt. RCGroups and Wattflyer have threads on this model. Trouble is typical RCGroups : 90pcnt of posts are just patting dealer on back and worthless piffle. Real meat of problems are not viewed nicely by them.
Glue those hinges in really well ... I suggest using Epoxy and get it into the slots BEFORE sliding in hinges. So it forms a blocker behind the ply spar. Well glued - model will be fine.
I fly mine on 4250 650KV Aerodrive motor and 5S 3000 LiPo with 13x8 prop. Unlimited vertical and near 2:1 Power to Weight. There is no need for 6S as RCG advises. 4S would be good for sport flying but needs a higher KV than 500~
Very good model let down by hinge areas of wings. So dock one Crown for design flaw.

The flying behaviour of this plane is excellent!
One of the best 3D-planes in this size I've ever flown. Over all comparable with my loved EF MXS64. No joke!
Take of weight with a 4s 3600mAh Lipo is 2,2 kg. I use a 16x8 wood prop with a 4248 650KV motor. The model is very neutral and have no wobble tendencies in harrier manoeuvres. Great knife edge performance and torque roll stability.
Highly recommended!
