I put this on my pa extra with a apc 14/7e 3s 40a 460w. It can hover at 1/4 throttle now. The only things I didn't like were the holes for mounting the motor. They were closer together than standard and one of the screw holes was farther out. The supplied motor mount worked after I drilled holes into it that are standard parkzone pattern. The shaft is too short so I put ok n a longer shaft from hobbyking. It was a pain because was pressed in super tight. Becides the screw pattern and the shaft being difficult I give this motor 5 stars because it is $65 cheaper than the pa recommend motor with the same performance.

no mounting plate arrived with the 2 motors i ordered
and it uses 26amps on 3cells with 12x5 apc eprop no where
near what other people claim?

One star for this item. I expect more from hobbyking. Connectors fail and cells are unbalanced, what could have been a very good item turns into a useless crap, that can kill.

11 x 6 150 watts 14 amps 500 grams
12 x 6 170 watts 16 amps 780 grams
Not sure what setup HK have getting 1750g and 380w but 12x6 was biggest prop I had. Measured on a 3S 11.83volts 25C 2200Mah 87pcnt capacity
Well made and sturdy motor, bearings good, quality good.

Yes but..
Above all, HK have a great post quality service with HK post, very fast,
I received the motor within 10 days, more than 2 weeks with swiss post.

anyway, I received the motors, for a mk XL quad, all in good condition, but looking at the motors in details, there is some metal dust, probably machining parts, in each motors.
I tested all motor one by one (got four, waiting for the last one) and no one works like the other, even after a 5mn test, one is really smooth, 2 correct but with some vibration, and the last will not go on my mk, too much vibration. I test and test for CW and CCW for the best results.
Also, Motors have a good ball bearing on the top, but very small one on the bottom.

Ok, it is only 14usd motor but what a pity, it just need a little more attention in control and test.

buy it, only for cheap applications.
