Delivered with 5000mah 2S 40C Turnigy batteries on March 12, 2013. Great fun on street and grass. Some jumping. Fast. Five crowns for the cheapest big car fun. 4 crowns for value as the car is worth the money but not the high freight charges. 4 crowns for quality as so far it has held up well except for pins in drive shafts. Pins com loose and tear up out drive cups. I have replaced some other parts from a crash but replacement parts are available from HK, Redcat, BSD Racing.

This is definitely worth the price, this make 9 R.C. cars and trucks truggies and buggies for me so I do have experience in the hobby. I race alot, not just a basher. Just took out the pre-load on the springs, re-routed the wiring and threw in 2x 2s 5300 nano-tech lipo's for awsome run time and alot of punch. Even if your not into 1/6 scales, this may be one to look at just for the value.

This is the baddest car I have ever owned. I took it to the track one night and froze the whole time I was there and didnt want to go home...
My girlfriend left me over rc stuff and this car makes it totally worth it that she left me... see ya wouldnt wanna be with ya i got a new girl now. this car jumps it peels out it runs the track no problem it makes the world seem smaller.. 0-35mph in 30ft... im getting 21t pinion to up the speed with the torq the motor has should be fine 288$ to my door with radio i cant even remember whatserfaces name... videos at youtube jedikillerpres its worth every penny..

Been a month since last update - I installed a HK120A ESC and Tacon 3674/1900kv motor into this buggy running on 4s - plus upped pinion from 13t to 15t.....this buggy flys and is holding up great. Highly recommended as a basher, ideal for grass and parks. A HobbyKing

Ive seen the Red Cat XB version on eBay for $350 and researched it a little and found the HobbyKing version. It is a 1/6 as I have other 1/5 scale like the Losi and HPI/Rovan and it's a bit shorter by 2-3". Great buggy for the cost. Very light weight and can run on 2 series 2s lipos or like Im using two 4s 5000mah without the stock series cable. My set up gets long run times at over 30 minutes and the buggy handles the weight easily. Lipos barely get warm and same for ESC. Motor gets a little hot but not to bad compared to my other brushless cars. I purchase this after looking for a Brushless set up for my emaxx and discovered I could have this buggy at a cheaper cost. Havin a blast with it and ordered spare parts but none needed yet.

Anyway, the car I got is great. First I thought that without a slipper clutch the gears would strip on first ride. I was wrong. The diff's and gears are shimmed correctly. I have had this car for 2 months now and the wheel axle was the first thing i broke. 2 of 4 shocks leaks oil, you have to refill them approx. every 5 ride or buy new ones. Motor, esc and servo are all good quality. Awesome value.

Ok I have owned this for a few weeks. It is an exceptional value @ $247 shipped to East Coast - spares cheap and easily available from Redcat dealers (as this is a rebranded Shredder XB) - I wasn't sure what to expect at this price point but this 1/6 Buggy has surpassed my Savage Flux 2350 as the RC I most like to take to local grassy parks and blast around with. Great car, its a clone of the Carson FY5/RedCat Shredder XB. Nice value for the price, i belive 199$ its the best car i could find for this price, thank you hobbyking.

Wie unter "Discussion" bereits geschrieben, Carson FY-5 ist baugleich. Ersatzteil habe ich auch schon bestellt, Chassis-Vorderteil ist aus Plastik - einmal gegen den Baum :-) und kaputt ist es, kostet ~ 7 EUR.

Regler ist ein Hobbywing 80 A verbaut, gutes Teil... werde spter wieder berichten.

Habe die Hardcase 5000 20C dazu bestellt (Carson liefert 3200 20c)
