This beautiful model of a Grumman F8F Rare Bear Reno Racer with brushed 1020 motor, and 3D/6G gyro stabilization system not only looks great, but it flies great as well. The built-in switchable 6-axis gyro flight stabilization system makes it perfect for both beginners and experts alike. It is tough too, it's constructed from durable, crash-resistant EPP foam which is light, extremely strong, and ready to take all the knocks and bangs associated with learning to fly.

The 3D/6G stabilization system is switchable between beginner mode and 3D mode via a simple push button on the top of the transmitter. In full stabilization mode, the amount of pitch, roll, and yaw is limited, plus it mixes in a small amount of rudder with the ailerons to enable it to perform perfectly coordinated turns, ideal for beginners. In 3D mode, it will allow the F8F Rare Bear to carry out many aerobatic maneuvers such as loops, rolls, and much more. If you have 3D mode selected and get into a muddle whilst flying, a simple press of the button will return the model to the fully stabilized mode and it will return to normal level flight. The supplied transmitter also has an aileron and elevator rates function, once again this is a simple push button that will increase, or decrease the amount of throw of the control surfaces. Also included is a fail-safe system which will prevent any flyaways if the signal is lost between the transmitter and receiver.

The model is very quick to assemble and all the necessary tools are supplied in the box, no gluing is required. All the components are screwed together, which makes it perfect if you want to fit it back into its box for transporting, this makes it an ideal companion to take with you on vacation!

If you wish to fly the F8F with your own transmitter then the included receiver/gyro board can operate with Futaba S-BUS receivers or any other receivers with S-BUS ports. It will also work with multi-protocol transmitters if the correct protocol is set, details in the user manual.

The model is supplied with everything you need to fly out of the box (except Tx batteries) including a 3.7V 400mAh battery, and USB charger.

Honestly, I was little sceptical. Will this tiny bit of plane fly properly?
Well, it does! Certainly it is not a speed demon, but it's nice, easy and stable to fly.
What I like in particular: If you land a little rough, the propeller goes off without damage, just snap it back on...
