    The Freeflight series are just massive fun for all ages, they are ultra fast and simple to assemble as you would expect and quality is top notch, unlike the kind of kits you may have played with as a kid, these brilliant models utilize modern manufacturing techniques making them very durable, not to mention excellent performers.

    This super scale and great looking Dr-1 is an excellent performer and is super easy and quick to assemble. The Dr-1 features control surface tabs for adjustment and this of course is the real fun of Freeflight, trimming the model to achieve circuits and maybe even a half decent landing when you get it really sussed! If you are thinking you might get tired of winding up the rubber band with your chubby digits, never fear, a battery powered winder with a built in counter comes included with this one!

    Brilliant cheap fun for both adults and kids, the Freeflight series is a great way to have fun with friends and family in the local park, at picnics or even at your airfield!

    Great concept and fun to build/fly. The front end needs to be reinforced where the prop mount and fuse are joined as mine broke clean after about 9 flights on spongy soft grass. Once trimmed after about 3 flights it flew very well. The battery operated rubber band turner works great.
    I would buy more...recommended...just make sure you reinforce certain areas prior to flying it...

    Quite strong and cheap. It's made of foam so strong in all directions. Nice shiny finish, good to hold in my hand. Can cut with a knife if needed.

    It IS much better than the cheapie balsa ones. Designed & made well.
    The elastics are the better, thicker grade. Not the lightest, but flies amazingly well, evn in ~10mph winds. One minor problem is how the rudder's lower areas need to be bent to fit in. CA the landing gear mount on to the fuse before it gets knocked off. On mine, the landing gear "latch" broke but serves as a crash-energy absorpter.

    This plane is cool. It is light years, well okay 50 years, ahead of the balsa 'Skeeter' planes I used to buy as a kid for a dime at the local market.
