Not a bad little plane for the money.
Build process was easy enough 4-5 hours. The only hard part was slicing into the control surfaces and the body to mount the little hinges. Otherwise it was very straight forward. Landing gear is useless. I would suggest leaving it out and just making it into a belly lander with some tape.

Running a D2830-1000KV Motor, 9x6 Prop, (tried 10x4.5 But the engine was getting very hot), Turnigy 9g servos, 30A Hk Blue ESC, 1000Mah 3S and Orange Rx.

I did put Tape over the leading edge of the wings and also on the underside as the foam will rip if caught on a twig or stiff dried grass.

Flies nicely at around 60pcnt throttle. When at 100pcnt it can climb verticle for a few seconds. Around 8 minutes of flight time with the above setup.

Suggestion: Get a battery alarm to plug into the battery balance port as you tend to just lose power when the battery is flat.

To get the correct COG the battery is as far forward as possible.

I'm not using this plane to fly 3D as I'm no-where near at that skill level. I'm mainly using it to fly around the local park as a trainer and loving it.

However one thing I can say is this thing is nearly unbreakable as the name suggests. I've smacked this thing into the ground at least 20 times. And quite a few of those at full speed. And yet I pull out the trusty Hobby King 3S hot glue gun and within 10 minute it is back i

supplied pushrods are too flimsy. As a result the control surfaces are unstable which results in complete wing instability at anything but the slowest speeds - The wings flop like a flag. The landing gear assembly is also poorly designed, and very flimsy, The landing gear wires required extensive reinforcing.

Great plane flys nice if you are getting into 3D. But remember to dial in duel rates and expo. i used 15 expo and 100 percent rate for 3D and 30 expo and 65 rate aliaron, 30expo and 70rate for elevator and 25 expo and 50 rate rudder. i used a 28-30 1050kv turnigy motor and 4*HXT900 and 25/30a hobby king brand esc and 1050 mah 3s rhino batt and spectrum radio equipment.

This is an excellent performance 3D /slow steady plane good for learning, this is my second red eagle model the first, a yak, is still going strong thanks to hot glue these planes are very strong but the EPP tears easy I used CA to build the yak, CA is not flexible and in a crash the damage is wear I glued it together, SO this time I yoused hot glue and I have discovered a new tape scotch tough transparent duck tape I covered the leading edge centre and wing tips including stabilizer I then attached the ailerons /elevator/rudder (both sides)with it and then did both side of the fuselage and cut the wing slots in any exposed Epp I covered with clear packing tape all this added 30 grams and it looks great all the colors still there and best of all it heaps stiffer and way stronger I then put a 2213 turnigy 19amp 1000 grams thrust with a 10x4.7 prop and a blue series 30amp ESC Zippy 1000mah 3s 25c UNBREAKABLE 3D PRACTICE BEAST!!!

nothing is unbreakable but this thing takes good punishment. I have hit the deck about 10 times so far and most damage is bent motor shafts. Set it up for night fly as it handles well in the air.
