    Product Description

    The Skywalker 1720 is specially designed for FPV systems and is well known within the FPV community. The airframe is constructed from durable EPO foam along with small plastic reinforcement parts where necessary.

    This is the latest 2015 Skywalker 1680 with a 1720mm wingspan. The new wings have two built-in 8mm and 10 mm carbon fiber tubes, servo push rod protection covers, wing protection shells for rubber bands and a better stream-lined shape. All of this will greatly enhance the strength of the wings, making it perfect for FPV flying.

    The build process is reasonably simple with ample amounts of internal space to install your choice of FPV gear and flight controller. In addition to being a great FPV platform, the Skywalker 1720mm is an excellent beginners model due to the high set wings in a glider configuration. 

    The airframe is supplied as a kit only, allowing you to fit it out with the equipment of your choice.

    I have taken this out a few times now and I love it! I was worried having not hand launched something this big before but I have never seen something launch so easy, it flies straight out of your hand and has good flight characteristics. Some things I would recommend: stiffen up the elevator because when it flies fast it flexes a bit and you loose some elevator authority. Also I recommend to buy hinges with the kit!!! Either CA hinges or pinned hinges it doesn't matter they will work great. The skywalker uses live foam hinges which are okay, but are a bit stiff so cut of the flight control surfaces and hinge them for a more responsive aircraft! I used: ntm prop drive 35-36 1400kv, 60a turnigy plush esc, 9x6 apc prop, 3s 5000mah pack and turnigy 9 gram servos all round and get around 30 minutes of flight. Love it!

    Don't read the desciption It's wrong !
    NO servo push rod protection covers.
    NO wing protection shells for rubber bands.
    DIY protections cutting plastic from soda bottle ;-)
    You get exactly what on the photos. Very good deal for the price

    Very good platform for fpv I have mine setup with 5000-6.600 mah 4s
    With full fpv setup i can stay airborn fo 45-50min and maybe some more ..

    Nice model, only flown twice. Crashed on the second flight, wind and CG tossed it to the floor.

    good for the price if you got this during the sales you got an awesome deal, the packaging wasn't as good as their new models but this saves a lot on shipping costs (I paid 3 times what I paid for skymule kit just for the shipping the mule) for what I paid am happy. thanks HK
