In our model making club we like to tow Glider with our big Motor models. In addition, I drive regularly to the Glockner Hof in Austria for the Glider towing weeks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQiEC7bV-CQ. For a long time, I was looking for a good and cheap towing clutch for my gliders. Hobby King has a very good solution here. I have used the Tow/Payload Release Unit in serveral models without any problems

I cuttet the partthat was higher than the release to fit the whole release under the fuselage. The only part looking out ofthe fuselage now is the release. Connected it to a servo and works perfectly!

The design is made for using it outside the fuselage. If you want to use it inside the fuselage then need to do lots of work. It is light weight, comes with screws. If you want to use it inside the fuselage then try to mount vertically with little bit adjustment otherwise build your own design.

But it seems to be too light weight and also not tall enough to have the part protrudes above the fuselage. The tow release can not be mounted inside the fuselage!
