Great motor for GWS Slowstick. I have purchased about 20 of these motors for my slow(stick) friends and all come back for more (too lazy to buy their own). The motor mount works and now comes drilled on the last ones that I ordered. this mount also works: <http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__3613__TowerPro_Alloy_Stick_Mount_for_24_Motors.html>

I got one of these from HK and it had a bad bearing. I didn't get to the motor until many weeks after ordering. The discovery is grim and I don't think it cost effective to ship it back. I know HK's prices are great but I am a little soured by this experience.

I've buy 4 of this for my first quadricopter. One was too tight to volve and I've replace his ball bearings. All four had need to be balanced. However quad is fly now, motor can be recommended.

Fantastic value for your buck...!!!

Use a prop saver, and cut the shaft off. Ensure the grub screws are tight on the shaft. The firewall mount (3 hole flange) can be removed simply by undoing the other two grub screws and then hold the shaft and firmly pull the flange off. I put a photo in the files to show how and where to mount the motor on the plastic mount.

Interesting comments about the mount. I had the same problem unitl I placed the shaft of the motor on to the location where the original shaft of the mount would be. The mount holes then line up perfectly and all you have to deal with is those tiny little screws and nuts. This also places the propeller in the same location as the original geared motor. I just had to rebalance and go fly. It screams with power !!!

boght this one as combo with BEC. Works great in my MPX TwinStar II.
Performance and amps are just perfect for this plane.
How ever, the quality of the motor mount could be better.
I lost one motor in the midle of the flight. So pay special attention to the screw that holds the shaft on the mount.
Will by some more a spare parts.
