    To celebrate the TrackStar 1/10th 80A Turbo brushless ESC and Motors receiving ROAR approval, HobbyKing are now introducing the TrackStar ROAR approved 1/10th tock Class Brushless ESC and Motor Combo set!

     

    The ESC features a CNC alloy case top which incorporates the heatsink for the Mosfets, neat terminal cups for both the battery input and ESC output cables. The ESC software has a large number of user programmable settings such as Punch, initial brake, drag brake, boost timing RPM, boost timing, Turbo timing, Turbo delay, Turbo ramp, boost acceleration - allowing this ESC to be customised in nearly every way you could ever need for 1/10 scale on or off road racing!

     

    The motor features a quality CNC alloy motor can, hand-wound high purity copper windings and powerful sintered neodymium magnets, you wont find a better priced motor of this caliber anywhere else! They also feature adjustable timing which allows for fine tuning the performance of your ride while the sensor ensures smooth startups and acceleration.

    Never gets hot! Turbo & programmable!!!

    I got the 13.5t + 80a Turbo ESC Combo. I am running the combo in a TT-02 set up for drifting. FDR=5.37 using 31t pinion & 64t spur and it has torque for days, even with constant throttling in middle of summer they just NEVER get hot!
    I had the FDR=4.61(31t pinion+ modified TT-01 55t spur) and they had power plus top end speed but still the ESC did NOT get hot! Not even a lil. The motor got warm but with no fan or heatsink, I added a fan and that was that, ran cool.
    Using Turnigy 2s LiPo with this setup and I have been 100% satisfied! Both are built like a brick. They look fantastic with the few red aluminum TT-02 upgrades I added. The ESC has lots of programming features! For programming I ordered the "Trackstar Turbo Programming Box For 80a/120a Turbo ESC" and it works a treat! With all the programming features displayed on the back of the card stock that comes with the programming box it's all so easy!
    Overall a comprehensive, well thought out, easy to use, well made, good looking, powerful combo for a very very great price!

    Budget drifters dream

    Definitely not something for a race car but it is everything you need or want for a drift car. Boost for $40? Unheard of. And I can’t believe how smooth this combination drives, it has far exceeded all of my expectations.
    Unfortunately you’ll need the tuning card that is specific to this exact ESC in order to unlock the boost function, but at $15, that is another incredible deal (no other cards will work, it is not a HW clone).
    Unbelievable deal. I’ve been using this combo for the past 2 months now; every Friday for 2-3 hrs and Sunday for 5-6 hours, it has never skipped a beat. If you’re low on funds, don’t bother with those other budget ESC’s with no boost, get this, you will be so happy you did.

    The low end power is awesome...
    It was exactly what I was expecting, from a budget sensored setup.
    The esc is enclosed in a water resistant box, and the temp never reaches the "hot" threshold
