good combo

very good on price point but a little slow out of the box as I think it was ment for modified setup with programmer. if running blinky try adjusting the timing on the end cap and then it comes to life with a 26-28 pinion

Not Happy Overall

Jan 17, 2021

Wrote this review 4 times already and it wont post most likely because it is a negative review. The motor is extremely slow out of the box in blinky mode. Cant even make the jumps at my club which are very short. In the straight away its slowest on the track. There no way to compete in anything ROAR spec with this motor as stock. Customer service has been so unhelpful until I found a local guy in my area that works for hobbyking. Hopefully this first experience will get better when he picks up the motor to test it.

Not Happy Overall

Jan 14, 2021

I was very happy to get this 17.5 ROAR approved motor and esc combo. I used this for my very first kit build and was hoping to use it for stock class carpet club racing. It seems like a good quality product but After getting the whole build done the motor and esc went in and looked amazing I was so happy. I got to the track and this thing just doesnt perform. Its soooooo slow in blinky default mode as it came in the box. I know there is a program box for it but what good is that if it doesnt come with one and then when you try to order it they have no idea when they will have them in stock. I cant keep up with ANYONE on the track and this thing is half the speed of everyone else. I had some of the pros look at my build and said everything looks perfect but it's JUST slow. For my first experience this is a true let down.

Satisfaction

Hello, I can not pair with a transmitter so that the car was going forward.
The problem is that the vehicle is still moving backwards on the gas forward.
You can rotate the direction of rotation of the engine, so the car to run as it should?

Otherwise, I expect the exchange differential, or change the location of the engine. Neither is completely technically possible.
Thank you

plenty of speed to do all the jumps/obstacles at my local track. very smooth power to get consistent lap times while feeling in control. performance is a 5 star imo, but sensor harness did not last long. cheap to replace and happy enough to order up a second combo for my car. i go faster with this 17.5 than i do with my 13.5 cause its easier to drive.
