Motor seems to be machine with nice grade Aluminum and windings seem intact. However, as the casing spins, there is an occasional "clinking" sound coming from what seems like a loose magnet hitting the casing every time it comes around. But overall, seems like a good product for what it is.

I have yet to use this motor in a model but I thought id comment on my bench test and the motor itself.
First off it's a pretty big lump, secondly the prop adapter is good quality with thought actually put into its design. The adapter can be screwed onto the rotating can or locked to the 8mm shaft via 2 substantial grub screws. One side of the shaft has a flat in the middle and truely helps to ease the mind. A solid piece of kit so far although the packaging was a little on the poor side but sure.
The first test was with 6s and a 20x10 prop wich yielded 17 amps and 715 watts. And a ton of vibration.
The second test was with 8s and an 18x12 prop which gave so much vibration it broke my mount. I think it was 48 amps and 1126 watts.
The third test was with an 8s and 19x10 Balanced prop a new mount which yielded 41 amps and 1248 watts.

These tests were conducted with haf charged 5000 mah batteries so the resultsmare on the lower side of the scale. I like to do this so I can understand what I have incase of an emergency or closer to the end of my flights. I'm confidently putting tis into my seagul pilatus PC9 1.20. The model wieghs @ 12 lbs.

I have one of these motors, in a Mystic 7 foot wingspan, aerobatic plane, these are often flown on a OS 120 4 stroke, Mine flies beautifully on 8 cells 2-4cells 4000 mh nano tech 15 mins flghts. I am now going to fit one in a Hannabal, 1/4 scale shoulder wing, summer flyer. 6- 8 cells 19 " prop

Put this into my Mythos 125 E. G110 motor, YEP 120 esc, 9 cell LiPo's 35C, with 21x13.5 APC-E, gives perfect unlimited verticals and very quiet flight performance with out any stressing of the batteries. The rear bearing housing does get hot compared to the rest of the motor, but it is so for the G160 as well ??

4 Crown value, because HK doesn't tell me, where and how to get some spare parts except the shaft. The motor does a very good job in may 7.5 kg biplane:

Nice motor ,very smooth running on 9s it has run on 10s with no problems but as it states 9s I'd keep to that, ONLY point I found with this motor are the 4 x counter sunk screews to hold the prop adptr on are too short so you may find you have to get slightly longer ones as I did cost approx 5p each so no big one there the other 4 x counter sunk screews to hold motor to bracket are fine, fit well so just one crown off for the prop dat screews ,other than that all good , and is now fitted to a flycat 90 jet,

I bench tested this motor and these are the results. I used the Zinger wide blade propellors, narrow blade electric props would be about 20pcnt less current with slightly higher RPM.

(The Figures below are all measured using HK test equipment)

20 X 6

6 cell 23A 550W 5400rpm

8 Cell 38A 1183W 6700rpm

20 X 8

6 Cell 28A 675W 5200rpm

8 Cell 43A 1325W 6500rpm

Hope this is helpful info

Performed a bench test with 6s and runs smooth, no vibrations. I'm waiting for 12 of 3s Turnigy 2200 MAh baterries to create 13200 MAh 6s for this motor. Will come back with a full review after maiden flight.
