Great motor but only 300kV so prop and battery selection is critical.

TURNIGY G60 BRUSHLESS OUTRUNNER 300KV

Dec 02, 2019

Purchased a turnigy G60 for a large sop[with model, very disappointed with the performance of this engine, definately not equivalent to a 60 glow, used a 15X6 prop with 6 cells, it barely got the model into the air..

TURNIGY G60 BRUSHLESS OUTRUNNER 300KV (.60 GLOW)

The product arrived quickly and in great condition. I am installing it in a 70" Tiger Moth DH82, that I am converting to electric power. We will have to see on the long term quality of the motor.

A really great motor for my seagull christen husky, wingspan 2m, 4,8kg flying weight.

I use it with a 16x10 3blade Master Airscrew @ 6s Zippy Lipo

This is a brute of a motor. I am running a 15x8 prop on 6S(22.2v) and its only pulling 25 Amp max. Haven't measured the thrust but it flies my Hangar 9 RV-8 with no worries and the slower larger prop sounds a lot better.

Amazing product, not only is the overall look of the motor high quality, but the preformance is as well. The mount it comes with is also really nice and is dpaces like the mount holes on most 60. Size engines so in some cases it will be a firect fit. The mounting hardware it comes with is also pretty nice, my only complaint is that it came with no plugs. Oh well. The eflite equivilant is twice the price and same preformance. A great product overall. Oh and p.s. ALWAYS USE BLUE THREADLOCK ON THE MOTOR MOUND AND PROP ADAPTER!!!

I got this motor today (from the US warehouse) for an air boat and immediately tried it out with a 16x6 prop, turnigy 150 amp esc and a 5000mah 6s lipo, and it ran great! the motor got just warm enough to be almost uncomfortable to touch and got the boat (a body board for the ocean with a tower screwed to it) to run along nicely at about 25 mph. The only problem I had with the motor was the mounting screws came loose but I should have used thread lock in the first place. I will try a few different props and post my results.
