More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipoly batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilising an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rates than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.

Advantages over traditional Lipoly batteries;

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultra-strong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.

These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

I bought 2 batteries a year ago. The performance is very good - I had no significant voltage drops when drawing high amps.
However, one of the batteries just died today - all of a sudden one of the cells has a short cut.
I have also the blue Turnigy batteries for almost 2 years and they are like new after equal usage pattern compared with the Nanotech.

Great battery!! I fly it in my 90mm f-18. no puffing, cells are still balanced after flights. plenty of power. 4 minutes of flight, still had 35pcnt left on battery. with throttle management of coarse.

other than puffing, out of 3 batteries I got (and spending over $200), 2 of them have 1 bad cell after only using them for less than 3 months and each battery has less than 20 charge/discharge cycles. Even cheapest batteries are supposed to last more than that, so to say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. I'll never buy these batteries or other Turnigy batteries again (Zippy batteries are far worse, so don't look there either).

Very good Lipos. I tested them in 12s 1P and 2P configuration. Seems that the Lipos do have very low internal resistance (as promised in text ;-). Will order the 4500 next time since the weight is just a bit higher.
Hope that the performance will stay as long as possible. So far it's a great experience to fly with those Lipos.

I bought 2 of these to use in an FMS 1700mm P-51 and both of them have puffed up like balloons. I have a generic 6S 4000 ma 25C battery I use in the same plane and with the same charger and it's fine. Other Nano-Techs I've purchased have also puffed up. These are like throwing money in the trash.

Las mejores lipos,despues de muchas cargas y llevarlas incluso un poco al limite responden muy bien.

Una recomendacion es dejar en almacenaje la lipo con 3,8v por celda, muy importante si no vas a utilizarla por mas de una semana.
