An excellent solution for power hungry chargers.
The A20 can supply a constant 16A at 14v, making it perfect for chargers using alot of power to charge big packs fast, or you can hook up 2 or 3 smaller chargers to charge up to 5 or 6S packs each.
Even if you dont charge at high rates, having a solid power supply like this will ensure the charger is supplied with a good constant current, helping it to balance cells and operate better.

The charger will suit 100-240v 50-60Hz home power points. The plug uses a common kettle type, so it will be easy to source a local power cord, or an adapter for the USA style plug.

Spec.
Input: 100~240v
Output: 14v @ 16A constant

Important.
Internal fan thermostat set to 60Deg Celcius. Fan will not run unless power supply internal temp reaches 60DegC.

Sorry to say but of all the items I've purchased of Hobbyking this has been the worst one. Terrible soldering as you can see at the pictures as well and after 1 month it had a shortcut due to this which damaged my charger!

I've been using this for over six months with a Accucel 6 (a bit of an overkill), no problems.

The fan has never come on yet (It's suppose to activate at 60deg C, never got that hot, or dosen't work, that's fine).

The power cord plug is the same as used on some Toshiba laptop chargers, easy to find. Cut out some foam used for attaching gyros for feet.

Really happy, I recomment it. 6 stars.

Mine gave a tingle when I touched it or the charger. Scratched the case when the earth lead was attached and that fixed it. Never tested it other than in use and it works fine up to 10amps I have pushed it to.

My unit died with a puff of smoke after a few months of infrequent use. I was only pulling around 120W from it.

I would give this a negative 5 if I could. I have been impressed with everthing I have ever ordered from HK except this. I have only it 5 months and hardly used. The other day charging two 1300 3 cells packs my charger starts beeping and this thing starts smokin. Wasted forty bucks and not worth shipping back. If anyone at HK reads these you need to discontinue this product and issue us a partial credit.

Went up in smoke within 4 months.. waste of 40 dollars. Look elsewhere for your power supply needs. Not worth the cost to return for replacement.

Purchased this item 5/7/10 and when I received it, it did not work, will not be sending it back due to shipping cost. When I opened the power supply I could not believe the state of the electronics, i.e. loose transformer wires that were not insulated and were simply floating around, no insulation between circuit board 240V and power supply case i.e. circuit board is 1.5mm away from case, 240V connector to circuit board had been glued and main tr

Hade it for maybe 3-4 weeks. Worked good with an iCharger 106B+. Been charging 3S @ max 8A (100W?) maybe 20 packs. Today it burnt when I plugged the cord in the wall. The switching MOSFET 2SK3528 is short circuit. Im currently searching for possibly more burnt components, hopfully I can fix it.

I do NOT recomend this to people who is not electronics engineers and can fix and modify for safety... Input socket is extremely close to chassi.

This is a good power supply at least so far. It holds voltage aroud 14V even if the current is about 10 Amps. Only wrong thing is that fan is realy noisy.
