    Solid injection molded pieces. I was also initially confused as to how they fit on the diatone arms. They are meant to be placed between the actual motor and the arm, with the 'landing nub' going down. You can face it to the front or the back. So it basically cups your actual motor, with the flat side laying against the top of the arm.
