I received this today and for the money it's a very good system (yet to range test) but video quality specially with the circular polarised antennas is great.
What I don't understand is why hobbyking don't put a note about the camera wiring , people will short there system out and it's not that it was not reported .. Why HK just print a note to turn the camera connector.

Best kit all in one.
The 1/3 520 cam is correct. It heats a lot.
800 mw transmitter is enough to go above 1 km with stock antenas. I 'v tried 1500mw, but that was to much power, that interfered with my 2,4 GHZ frsky conf (transmitter with a 2W wifi booster).
Remove the gold case, and with a small heat sink glued on it, you'lll save weight and space !
I plugged a low pass 900 Mhz filter bitween video transmitter and antenna, wich was very efficient to get less interferences.

HK : could you sell low pass 900 filters ans wifi boosters ?

I've got two recievers, and use them with the eagle eye view ground station (diversity), and this is perfect for optimum reception.

Hello,

I also had to rewire the camera wires. The red and signal were reversed on the plug.

I have'y mounted it on anything yet. Will mount this on a quad or a 68" Super Star.

Review 2: I found a small plastic box at my electrical store. 40mm x 40mm x 20mm, that fitted the camera perfect. If you trim the outer rim of the camera circuit board off and carefully drill out two of the mount holes to 3mm, the screws that hold the lid on, fit thru the circuit board. Remove about 3mm from the box screws bosses, dremel a hole to match the camera front, and it all fits great. Drill some air holes front and back, and is easily mounted. I also built a mounting platform with the TX and camera on. Total weight of camera box, TX and mount is about 86grm, a less than the units with the supplied TX gold cover. Hope this helps

Unit arrived well packaged. No instructions. Removed the gold box from the transmitter and added a heat sink from an old esc to the back of the tin box of the receiver, stuck on with heatsink glue. Had to reverse the plug wires on the camera by carefully prising off the plastic plug outer from the circuit board pins with a blade, reversed it and carefully replaced it back on the pins. This puts the red wire to the right when looking at the back of the camera board with the plug at the bottom. Had to use a 3s lipo battery to get this to work as the current needed is more than a normal 9v battery has. Picture is solid and clear. Will try on a plane soon.

To get mine going I had to switch the red and white wires around on the plug into the camera. Works great now. The system seems to go well so far. The RX required a 12volt 500mA positive center power supply and works well so far. I used a Turnigy Li-Po 3S 500mA battery to run the camera and transmitter. I could tell the camera wasn't going properly but the transmitter wasn't because there was a black picture instead of static when I first hooked it up. I hope this review saves people the time I wasted to get it going. As always, hobbyking is the best.

Great Product. The Video Tx/Rx will work with an NTSC camera and monitor. Good reception and great range. Even with Stock antenna's. Will be switching cameras and receiver antenna to increase range and clarity.
