So i ordered this gimbel for my Tarot 650 quad and getting this mounted was extremely easy as everything has already been assembled for you. The build quality is pretty good as well. Couple things you'll want to know to save hours and hours of your time!

1. This uses a simpleBCG (AKA Basecam Electronics) controller board
2. the firmware that's installed on it is 2.2b2
3. Make sure you use the corresponding version of GUI to run the gimbel or else it won't work
4. Make sure you strap a camera on the gimbel or else it will go crazy as it thinks there should be something on it and over powers the brushless motors
5. if you're not using a go pro you'll have to tweak the power settings in the GUI
6. Here is the BIG ONE. Despite they shipped it to you and it looks like its RTR, Make sure you check if the motors are connected correctly to the controller! Motor one should be roll and motor two should be pitch. Mine was reversed so my just kept turning and turning and turning non stop....

Hope this helps!!

This gimball worked out of the box. I used my Boscam HD explorer camera so I had to balance the ground plate. This is really easy with the supplies wrench tool. Just put on your camera and balance is in both axes... so the motors dont have to work very hard.

The motors are not very strong, but this is no problem. Just balance your camera and everyhting is ok.

There is a high pitch sound from the gimbal when I connect the battery. I dont know what causes this sound, but everything is working smoothly and nice.

Looks nice and started up without trouble. loud high pitch motor sound.
added 1/2 spacers on the arms to fit my Sony action cam. Action cam Just balances at end of adjustment travel. Balancing is really very key with these weak motors. 1.3W drain when stationary. After a week of building accelerometers are now off. No documentation to allow me to calibrate them so until i find what is running on this thing its currently useless.

After a frustrating experience with the G.luckbuy Gimbal I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It worked well out of the box. The field test conditions were perfect...gusty! See Video. The Turnigy Hex that I have this thing on was oscillating about 15 degs to correct for the gusts. The gimbal handled it like a champ! I took the Gopro mount off and rubber banded a Swann Freestyle cam to the platform. My plan is to put the Boscam HD19 on it. I would recommend this purchase.

Hey guys, I just got mine today. I haven't flown my quad using this gimbal just yet, but so far everything seems good. The only trouble I had with this gimbal was that there's no documentation. So here are some of the questions I had and the answers:

Q. Is it compatible with the bumble bee?
A. No :(. I had to modify it.

Q. Can I manually control the two axis's while it's stabilizing?
A. Yes! There are two slots for servo wires for each axis. Just be sure to connect it in the correct orientation (GND is at the bottom.. use a multimeter to be sure). Note though that when you're manually moving it, it doesn't suddenly change the position like the servo gimbals do. It smoothly and slowly moves to that position, which in my opinion is good because it results with a smoother video.
