I just received this plane and I have to say first off the instructions were very confusing. It had the steps to install the hinges before putting the wing through the fuselage.... Didn'twork out right. Make sure you pit the wings, elevator through before you put the hinges on. There is not enough room to allow them through with the control surfaces Installed. Second I have found when you put the servos in the wing.... Well it becomes very hard to route the servo wires in ton the fuselage because the holes are in the middle of the fuselage.... Reason it's hard is because the instructions call out for you to install the servos AFtER you glue the wing to the fuselage.... It would be easier to go ahead and install them. Also... Don't use the control rods that come with the kit. I tried out the carbon fiber rods that were heat shrunken to a regular small gauge steel rod and it didn't work worth a darn. I would recommend using another method..... Although carbon fiber will be lighter... Just use some rods from an old project or get some new ones and cut to size. Also.... The control horns on the rudder and elevator don't go all the way through.... It would be wise to hot glue them in. In the manual they have a back locking strip that's supposed to be a one way lock when you push both peices together. Trouble is they are not long enough..... So over all I'm almost

Great plane, I'm using a 1300mah nano tech and get about 8 minute flight times doing 3D. This isn't using the stock motor because I broke mine... It's the same KV with same motor so the performance is the same. The hinges are good, I attached with hot glue, not sure what flite test were talking about tbh... There is quite a lot of space in the fuse. There is a video on my channel of it flying if you want to see. It has never tip stalled for me and is great for flying low, very forgiving, just pitch up and punch the throttle. I love this plane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kun88I4Ye0Q

Very fun foamie, lots of bang for buck! Great little hovering 3D thing.
Most light crashes will be cosmetic damage, or quite likely to rip off or break a hinge or a little tear here or there. But definately not nbreakable' but when it does get some pretty decent damge, hot glue is the go!
I struggled to use GWS slow fly props, I did balance them, but at high rpm they flutter and thrust is lost. I am now using GWS DD-9050, and plenty of thrust and pull-out power!
I have CG a LONG way back for stable hovering and great 3D, 3S 1300mAh with front edge of battery in line with leading edge of wing.

Angel EPP is my first electric model. I used, for years, to fly balsa planes with glow engines. Last two years I`ve break from flying, so I decided to return to flying with something fun but not too boring :-). Angel is exactly model for me! Plane performing great in the air and I don`t need any kind of simulator to return to flying. Angel IS like simulator :-). One of my best choices since I am modeler.

This plane was my first experience with light weight EPP models. It will probably be my last. After hours spent assembling it I took great care to ensure that the motor & prop were perfectly balanced & even opted for a collet shaft adapter in the interests of keeping things smooth & intact. In spite of that on only its second flight the entire motor & its wooden mounting plate tore itself out of the plane causing a fair amount of damage to the nose in the process. Just poor quality & the usual stinginess with glue in the factory. Luckily I was able to land it without further damage. It can be repaired but why should I have to? In spite of that it was a lot of fun to fly while it lasted. Don't believe Hobbyking's weight claim of 400- 420 grams. With the recommended 1000mah lipo it weighed in at 465 grams. Trouble is it wont balance with a 1000 even pushed as far forward into the nose as it will go. You'll need a 1300mah to get the C of G right & that brings the weight up to 500 grams.

You'll also need a bigger speedie than 18 amps. Mine pulled 270 watts at 25 amps with a 9 x 6 APC prop.

got this today HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO USE HOT GLUE TO BUILD using supplied motor HK-SS 18-20amp ESC, HK 10 gram servos and 1000mah 3s 20c LIPO, flies great was hovering on first pack. 4 stars for quality as velcro for sealing electronics bay is poor and threading cables from elevator and rudder servos is mission impossible

Just pure fun to fly, great to learn 3D with, flies circuits very nicely too, with some nice speed, which is a bit surprising.
I have CG at 90mm, with 1300 3S lipo, and 30A ESC (overkill).
Using HXT900 servos, needed a y-piece and 45cm extensions.
Its a good build, not too quick, but rewarding enough.
I would say the structure is close to unbreakable, but with light crashes, the foam tears very easily, only cosmetic damage really.
