Like many ASP parts, this is a clone of older OS part. With 37 mm distance between screws, it fits OS 50 SX nicely. Beware: the muffler comes without bolts!

Although surface quality of the parts is pretty good, the muffler is heavier than the original and some parts are pretty bad: the long screw holding the muffler together is rather thick and made of very soft steel. The aluminum diaphragm inside the muffler is so poorly made, that the holes in it are clogged...

Summary: if you don't mind the extra weight and if you fix bad diaphragm, it is a decent muffler.

A very nice muffler, at a fraction of the cost others sell them for, which I purchased for my Enya 0.29 nitro ( glow ) engine. I intend to mount it on using the strap-on method since the spacing between the mounting holes is just a bit short, however this is what I had predetermined prior to my purchase. The measurements for this muffler are as follows: the spacing between the holes on the face of the stack is 37mm and the holes are threaded for 3mm ( M3 ) bolts - the length of the face of the stack is 44.5mm - the exhaust outlet on the face of the stack is 28mm x 7mm ( square shaped ) with a 1.5mm lip - the length of the stack is 28mm - and the overall length of the muffler from end-to-end is 170mm. Shipped from the International warehouse on 17/09/2014 ( dd/mm/yyyy ) registered ( tracking ) air mail with Singapore Post and it arrived through the USPS San Francisco ISC to me on 26/09/2014 . That was FAST !!! Thanks a lot Hobby King ( a.k.a. Hextronik ).

For general info: It also fits the new Evolution GX 10cc small block gas engines. Original muffler from Evolution does not hold together under the heat. Hope this one is better in this aspect!

Fitted to my OS 46AX no problems. Very effective. You will need 3mm screws to fit it, length according to your engine, and a gasket. The mating face to the engine is not perfect, small imperfections, but a paper type gasket works fine.
