Looking for a ready to fly trainer? or an in-expensive FPV platform? Maybe you are a club pilot looking for something you can just pull out of the car and fly on one of those lazy Sunday afternoons? The Hobbyking Bixler ticks all of these boxes and more!

The Bixler has all the right ingredients, made from super tough EPO foam, everything is pre-installed so minimal assembly time is required, in fact, by the time you have charged the included battery with the supplied charger, it should be ready to fly!

Stop Press!!

Allow us to introduce the Bixler V1.1 with a myriad of improvements over the original Bixler.
Our v1.1 features relocated elevator and rudder servos, now closer to the tail and accessible via a magnetic hatch on the underside of the fuselage. Why? you may ask - This allows much more usable space inside the front section of the fuselage, something that FPV'ers are going to thank us for! We have also updated the included hardware to include better quality components, such as the new 4 bolt control horns on all surfaces. We also include 2 different propellers, one for high speed and the other for carrying heavier payloads.
You - our customers spoke, we listened! The end result is the Bixler V1.1!

Full 4 channel control is a must for new pilots and experienced pilots alike and the included 2.4ghz radio, & 6 channel receiver combo is packed with plenty of features, including a range test button for peace of mind, a mix facility, servo reversing and a trainer port!

Overall great plane. Got back into the rc world and this setup helped. Easy to fly and very stable and easy too set up. Have flown it a number of times and have had great landings in the field on crashes yet. Would buy this kit again. Good choice for a novice guy or gal.

Quality is not bad, but it can be better. It is a nice plane but be carefull you need to buy a better prop if you want to fly normal. The stock propeller is a bit weak. I've upgraded the motor and esc (1.5kg of thrust) and it even fly's better. Works well with the FY31AP or APM 2.5. And it is a nice FPV plane. It can take a lot of weight and it is easy to rebuild it after a crash (just a bit of hot glue)

Not a huge fan of it as a trainer. The wind catches it very easily. The wing connectors are non existent (the instructions say to glue it). The wing spar is way too weak. The price is alright though.

Excelente, 100pcnt recomendable!

Great airplane for beginers (like me) but not so good for long range FPV, so if you want to do (long range) FPV the best plane you can buy is the FPV raptor (the FPV Raptor is the best plane I have ever flown but the bixler is realy good if you crash it you can just glue it with hot glue)

Got this as my second plane. My first was the HobbyZone Mini SuperCub. The Bixler is a fantastic second plane, but I wouldn't recommend it as a first so much because it is so big. If you crash it there will be more damage to the plane and whatever it hits. It is a very good flying plane! Glides very well, flies well at fast and slow speeds, is very stable, and is a blast to fly. The only problem is the motor mount. Mine came a bit loose and is wobbly. It doesn't seem to affect it much though. The hinges were stiff at first, so make sure you move them back and forth a bit before you fly it. Also make sure you propeller is on tight, but not too tight. Several times I've gone to fly it and mid-air the prop comes loose. I ended up tightening it way too hard and it broke. A football field is probably the minimum size to fly it. If you're a first time flyer I would recommend flying it in the snow if you can so that it will absorb most of the shock when you crash. I've crashed it many times and I've just put it in boiling water if the foam got misshaped and I used a glue gun to fix it, and it looks good as new! I love my Bixler, you will also!
