Postal Drone Crashes on its Maiden Flight

Everyone loves a good hobby crash fail story. Last week there were reports out of Washington DC that a security guard robot fell into a water fountain and truthfully, we have only just stopped laughing about it.

Look at the image below to see the hilarity for yourself. Now a similar incident has happened in Russia a couple of days ago when a drone crashes into a tree.

Now a Russian postal drone has flown straight into a wall on its inaugural flight. Reuters reports that during the test trials, which took place in the city of Ulan-Ude, the drone was meant to carry a package to a neighboring village to see if it was a viable method to deliver mail. In a video posted to Twitter, the drone is seen taking off normally, and initially, it seems fine while in flight until it begins to tip sideways before slamming into a wall. The drone, which was made by Rudron/Expeditor 3M with an estimated cost of $20,000, smashes to pieces as it hits the wall and plummets to the ground.
