Hobbico to Shut Down its Reno Warehouse

Hobbico, a giant U.S. distributor of radio-control and general hobby products, is reportedly set to shut down one of its U.S warehouse facilities this week.

Accessories manufacturer MIP revealed on their Facebook page that Hobbico's Reno facility will close its operations. In their statement, MIP wrote “We at MIP want to send our prayers to our brothers and sisters who lost their livelihoods as a result of the closing of the Hobbico Reno Facility. Best wishes to everyone there.” Hobbico Reno Closure Hobbico operates over 10 warehouse facilities around the globe, including Germany, the UK, and across the United States. The Reno facility, which is a 200,000-square foot, was vital for operations in the western states of the US. Despite this, according to reports, when Hobbico was contacted, one customer service representative suggested that the Reno warehouse “was not even full.” The closure of the Reno warehouse is expected to have adverse effects on the business. So far, it is unclear how many employees will be affected by the closure, with representatives refusing to disclose any information. Remaining tight-lipped on this situation, Hobbico has yet to make a formal statement on its closure. More news will be shared as soon as it becomes available. Images from hobbico.com
