purchased my Beaufighter a few weeks back, my 4th Alfa plane. As always the plane is painted very nicely and assembles well. Wing wteryere a little tricky as they attach to the sides of the fuse individually - use a 30-minute epoxy to save yourself a headache. I'm using two atlas motors, 23-somthings, two 18 amp TB ESCs, and TP prolight 3-cell 2000 mAh battery. Hand launches are straight and true at about 1/2 - 3/4 throttle. A lot of fun

One excellent flyer!

This twin engine is a dream to fly. I bough two TP2408-10 motors here in Hobbycity that fit perfect and have the right amount of power to pull this plane. If you like landings, install the retracts and do the flaps mod, it really adds another dimension to flying this plane.

Great Customer Experience

Oct 21, 2008

Now I am a proud owner of a great product from Alfa...great surface finishing, unmatched quality, value for money, manufactured to scale.

Specific instructions given to enable rudder control, flaps and retractable gears.

Looking forward for Hobbycity to bring in the Alfa retractable gears.

To compliment Hobbycity for good packaging using 2 boxes concept.

In addition, for Hobbycity fast response to replace the damaged wings which is likely a manufacturer induced defect.

Many Thanks

I have one of these beasts with

2x Emax FC28-12 outrunners,

2x 7x6 apc props,

2x 30Amp s/simple esc's,

3x HXT900 9 grm servo's (4 if using a rudder)

a 2200mAh 3s batt with min 25C rating.

all up 693grams

With a WS Howfast Airspeed i'm getting 140Kph.

Lots of fun to fly and it looks awsome in the air but watch out for SLOW speed tip stalls as they are tricky to recover from. I hope this helps people with choosing one of these planes. Have

Hi. I've had one of these for nearly a year now.

I recommend GWS pico servos for the wings (2 required) the wing is not very thick. (9.5 mm max)

As for a drive system I'm using two tower pro 2410-08 combo with 18 amp esc's +9x6 props. works great.
