I got this motor for a Multiplex EasyStar and it has been very good, more than enough power for the gentle flying that I am doing as a beginner. 3S 2200 lipo batteries give me about 40 minutes flying. Had to swop the motor shaft around to fit an EasyStar but as I have access to a machine workshop this was not too much of a problem for me, but would not be possible without machine shop access, don't think that because it shows a circlip and allen screw it can be taken apart and reversed. All said and done though it is a good motor and ideal for the Easystar.
Using this Turnigy 2830-11 1000kv in a 1,20m glider on a 4S Setup with a Aeronaut 8x6 Folding Prop. Performs really nice, gets a little hot on full throttle 4s / 8x6 so be careful about the cooling. Bearings are good and the qualitiy is good. I can recommend this motor!

I was looking at some old orders, and four years ago I purchased 5 of these motors. I built a quadcopter, and had a spare just in case.

While I have wrecked my quadcopter and rebuilt it numerous times, and have broken many props with its unplanned landings, these motors have held up well.

I usually fly with a 5000mAh 3S 30C battery and 9x4.7 props, which brings the all-up weight of my copter to 1210g. But it flies for 15minutes, too. I've been very happy with these motors.

Nice little motor. Works well, however burns easily. Be sure to turn throttle off if you suddenly crash.
Nice motor with plenty of power for any DTFB plane. Have crashed and they have survived well
You will never find a motor that betters these for value.

Smooth, Quiet and plenty of power on my 450 and 470mm Quads with 9045 Gemfan props and 3S 2200mah..

Way better than others I've used that cost 2-3 times as much.

Awesome motor Turnigy and great value HK...

I have added my own thrust bench measurements using 9x4.7 and 10x4.5 props (3S batt). It turns out that D2830 is a great motor indeed. Using 10x4.5 SF props, I got 420 grams of thrust at 50pcnt throttle with efficieny 7.5 g/W. Despite some claims that 10" props are too big for this motor on 3S, it is not true.
fits with this ESC https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=49603
very good for the price, mostly used in small scratch build and doing the job great
