    Product Description

    The De Havilland Mosquito was one of the most remarkable and certainly most versatile aircraft of WW2, the "Wooden Wonder" could outpace fighters yet could carry the equivalent payload of a B-17! The Mosquito was used in Bomber, Anti-Shipping, Photo-Reccon and Night Fighter roles to name but a few, the combined Speed and Firepower of the Mosquito made it the ultimate "destroyer" and as such, it was most famously used in some of the most spectacular precision raids of the war, confirming it's legendary status.

    This great looking Mossie is nicely finished with a fiberglass fuselage & engine nacelles and wood wings and tail, both finished in a matching covering. The Mosquito is practical as it features plug in wings and a magnetic battery hatch, the model also comes supplied with a comprehensive hardware kit which includes fixed undercarriage (a retract conversion would not be difficult for the experienced modeler).

    It would be fair to say that some building experience is required to assemble this lovely looking Mossie but the end result is a great looking scale model that should last for years!

    Not a good maiden, IMHO this aeroplane is far too heavy and the tips are too narrow, I.E the wing loading is far too high. I won't be fixing it ...just stripping out the motors etc etc ..

    i like the detail to the strength in the needed ares ,amazing structure entirely with great potential with the chosen motors of 3436 1800kv ,
    this will be stunning in performance and looks ,i received well packaged with fast delivery . I will start assembly as i se all is good to go with nothing missing ,so far .and The Duel Motor Covers are amazing in size and detail ,fiber glass bits are well finished, this is a Beautiful Machine ,so So Good, Hobby King truly did it well this time .

    Mine arrived today with some dents in the outer packaging but the contents were pristine. She was really clean and well finished, quite impressive looking. Will assemble and report back on how easy that was without a MANUAL!

    So the manual is key and extremely important for this moderl! I own a larger scale mozzie and the CofG is the most important item in the whole build. Without it things can end very badly! Also important are the recommended control surface throws.

    So, mising two critical items makes me have to reduce the quality to 2 crowns as the missing items coud result in a destructive maiden.

    I got the Mosquito by the mail today, and I must say it was packed very good. No damage whatsoever, so big credits to the HobbyKing staff who packed this one. The plane looks very nice and well manufatured. The fuselage and wings look very sleek and no blemishes in the wing covering. I have thought out several power systems, but this is a pretty light plane wing lots of wing areal to carry the weight, so there is lots of potential, but I will go for a midi size setup and I will aim for a 600-650 watt light setup. So far I am very happy with this purchase and time will tell how she flies.
