The MCUV (multi coated ultraviolet) filter reduces reflections, ghosting, flare and haze. It also improves contrast on your video and digital images by minimizing the amount of ultraviolet (UV) light. Especially useful in areas of high altitude, snow or beach as it eliminates the undesirable blue cast. 

The filter is made from imported optical glass and has a high level of transmittance.

Filters are also a good way of protecting your lens from dust and scratches.
