Bad product

Nov 02, 2016

Ordered a set of these and couldn't be more disappointed. There were particles stuck to the lens from the inside on both sides and the lenses were scratched. Looked like a refurbished product in a new case.
I returned them and HK returned the money but all the shipping charges (both ways!) were on me so 30€ are gone and no goggles.

This is the Goggle to go fpv flying. Nice big screens, no blurry edges on mine as reported in other forums or tests. Installed a Nexwave Race Band receiver and Spironet Antenna, works great with a 25mW Immersion transmitter mounted in a 450 quad, also works fine with a micro-size camera in a 1/18 Desert Buggy. Good quality case, which holds all the accessories. Comes with two face-plates, mounted the softer one. The 2S Lipo has only black and red wire balance leads, so you can not charge it in Balance mode. The Hydro-Dipping seems to be good quality, no signs of usage so far. First i struggled to order this headset, because of the heavy price-tag and the reports of the blurry edges, also there is the HD V3 coming soon, with a litlle less FOV to eliminate the blurry edges. But as stated above i have no problem with the sharpness near the edges and this google looks killer in this digi camo design, especially with my Venture, whose body and arms are wrapped in woodland digi camo ;)

This was a great buy, even though I think that they could be cheaper than $520 USD at the time of this writing.

I do get the blurry/smudged edges that others have complained about, but in all seriousness, it's a minimal issue. You can barely notice that unless you're really picky and you want to complain about something. Although yes, at a premium you expect nothing less than perfect.

Good:
-HDMI port gives us more versatility, I can fly FPV simulators from my laptop, watch short 3D videos, and also use normal 2D HDMI.
-DVR is great for recording videos from micro quadcopters and if you don't have a camera onboard.
-The fan really works to clear up any fogging, I live in the border between earth and hell, so it really makes a difference.
-Swappable Rx provides better options for Rx.

Bad:
-My battery's balance lead came with only two cables instead of three standard for a 2 cell battery. I'm getting that solved with HobbyKing right now.
-Still blurry even though it came with the -2 Diopter lenses, but really imperceptible unless you're looking for it.

All in all, it's a well known product but I would've liked it to be a bit cheaper. Specially since we can get it now for around 430 USD in other places but the Digital Camo was a total mind blow
