Bit of a mixed bag this one; mine is a genuine, verified, >100mph setup and in my experience the chassis cannot deal with these speed(s). Without crashing; the fuselage has split in three places (around hatch/wing joint area), elevator control hinge failed and, more relevantly, both wings sheared clean off in flight either side of the fuselage and it came down like a shot pigeon. The only thing stopping a three piece landing was the thin square (6mm) central carbon wing-spar....plane was flapping around like a bird. Also learned never to touch the rudder as it tip stalls easily and also has an odd rotation (wiggle) around the Z axis especially in any wind; this disappears at high speed but it is a bit unnerving to see during flight.

Don't get me wrong it is one of my favorite planes and flys very well (at speed) but, at circa 100(ish), it is high maintenance. Setup; SK3 3536-1050 (carbon mount), YEP 60A ESC, 6S 1300 mah Nano-Tech, 7x6 Prop. Eagletree Data - Cold Day (8deg) GPS Speed was 103.34mph (Cold Lipo); Normal day (18deg) GPS Speed was 116.19mph (logger mounted where the hatch normally goes - peak current 35A). Would recommend getting one but don't expect it to last if you're going for glory; really requires additional strengthening at the root of the wings, stronger wing-spar and hinged control surfaces.

Nice little kit version of this plane- the foam is the strongest I have seen yet. Carbon and fibre glass reinforcement makes it a tough plane. The decal set provided is incomplete however as the main colour(red or yellow) that would go along the top of the fuselage is missing. In my case i decided on the yellow version but because the fuselage has now remained the white foam I have added my own decals to it in an attempt to make it more visible in the air.

This bird exceeds my expectations.. Gave it a NTM2836 3000 kV motor, 80A Turnigy Plush ESC (at the original spot), 4.5 x 4.5 prop and draws about 70-80 A on a 2250mAh 40C 4S battery. Some digital servo's, AS3X stabilization and a home-made carbon hatch for more space, estimate it at around 200 km/h. Seems rather stiff and agile, even in high-speed tight curves!

A strange design to some extent. The placement of the ESC in the back for example, it's just silly. Instead, I dug out space under the motor and placed the ESC there, then almost no motor cables needed at all. I also moved the elevator and rudder servos to the back of the tail. They do cause a bit of turbulence, but I find it acceptable, and the control rods result short and stiff. Ball links and clevices are of acceptable quality but make sure that the ball links don't bind. I also glued a carbon strip 1x6x750mm to the bottom of the wing for improved rigidity (it felt weak when test bending the wing). The included decals are very good, easy to apply, stick well and are strong. I use an NTM 2836-3000kv motor with accessory pack (glued a cork on the back to cover the protruding shaft). Battery Nano-tech 4S 2200mAh 45-90C. ESC 80A YEP, 5x5E prop. Servos HK15178B all around, receiver OrangeRX 610. Center of gravity as in manual (50mm). The plane is very fast and a bit unstable, you must be on top of it all the time. Has quite nasty stall tendencies, so make sure to keep speed up. Haven't measured top speed yet, but should be around 200 kph with this setup. All in all a nice kit but prepare to mod it a little to get the best out of it. Recommend.

Awesome, built mine with the parts I recovered from the ARF version I bought first (side note, don't use orange HK DSMX receivers in high speed apps)

I used 9 gram digital servos and a genuine DSMX receiver this time and its one the most locked in models I have owned. It even does snaps and flat spins!!

Get one, and talk you mates into getting them to :-)

Really like it. Bought the kit to save money and use some existing parts.2200 kv suppo motor,60a esc 7x5 prop,3cell 2200mah 35c.Not super fast yet but I wanted to get comfortable with it first.The plane flies really well launches are smooth(underhand 3/4
throttle) turns on a dime climbs and rolls well,inverted no problem.Even glides pretty well
with motor off at altitude in a little wind.Handles mild winds (10-15) without issues.Flies
slowly for first flites.Overall exactly what I was looking for in a high performance foam pylon racer.Excellent build quality and design. Large wingspan helps with visibility.Durafly

Nice plain setup, recommend for the DIY person, use metal gear servos HK929 ,60A Turnigy Plush ESC, 2200mah 4s 35c compact, 2700kv 2836 NTM an 4.75x4.75 sports prop, will make a good Rig, make sure you tread lock ever nut bolt an screw to all your running gear :)
