This superb looking T-28 from our top quality Durafly® ™ range and has enough scale detail and features to keep any warbird enthusiast happy. The 1100mm range offers the RC pilot a practical size model that can be easily transported and uses the ever popular 2200mAh 3s Lipoly pack, yet at the same time, the model is large enough to have presence and is able to tackle most airfields, not to mention a little wind, making it very practical.

As well as looking fantastic, this Trojan is plug and fly, meaning very little assembly work is needed. The powerful outrunner motor, ESC, navigation lights, servoless electric retracts, gear doors & servos are all pre-installed leaving you to glue on the tailfeathers and some scale detailing, bolt on the plug in wings and go flying!

We have flown this superb T-28 Trojan extensively during testing and it will not disappoint, there is plenty of power for those really scale warbird aerobatics and the airframe is viceless with no hint of a tip stall. The pre-installed flap servos have a nice, slow operation to help prevent ballooning and the flaps themselves allow the approach speed to get down to a crawl without a hint of wingrock. There is no doubt, this is one fantastic looking warbird and it flies as easily as a low wing trainer!

Fantastic little plane. One of my favorite, and fly it alot.
Retracts work great, and the flaps make it land very slow and precise.
long flight times on a 3S 2200 pack. It flys best on the lighter 2200 packs that I have. The guys at the field are impressed seeing it fly.

This is a great flying plane, only weak area is the nose gear. you can use a 4 cell battery in it and it becomes much faster.

Dynam T-28 Trojan first flights
10/17/15
I assembled (very little to build) a Dynam T-28 from Hobbyking and flew it yesterday (with Stu's help).
The plane looks nice and flies nice. Short take off with half flaps and nice steep approach and landing with full flaps (according to Stu).
Pros easy to assemble, pretty, nice retracts, flies stable at half throttle.
Cons nose wheel too small 1.75 inch plan to replace with 2 inch wheel, push-rod clevis fragile replaced several, cowling fragile I reinforced with layer of thin fiberglass cloth.
I sprayed my plane with Krylon acrylic crystal clear to protect the finish and give a gloss finish.
Happy Landings,
Vince

A really great model to own and fly a real treat, and fly's probably the best in the Durafly range, I have two after the first went for a swim and now my second one has done the same, you may ask why are you crashing into the sea ? well I fly mostly at the beaches when all is quiet its so nice to fly offa hard sand looks fab, but in both cases now the one pitfall of this model is the Canopy itself, after a few flights the latch that clicks into place eventually lets go in flight and blasts away, this produces the battery which is held in with the Velcro strap to also come out and hang over one side of the model and as a consequence this makes the model unstable and will, as good as you are to fly, bank hard and stall and Crash !! you've got little or no hope to recover. I fixed this issue with tape holding the canopy well on during each flight but then the clear section of the canopy de bonded from the foam bottom and again flew off , the battery out again and another crash, its hard when you know that its not your fault that you've lost two models worth over $500 because of this, so just beware, and try to come up with an alternative measure to hold the canopy on well ! Jeffo :-)

This is a very fun plane to fly. The lights are bright in the day time. I now have 3 of these and they hold up good. One thing you need to change is the nose gear to a metal one like the main gear is. It is a very strong plane and looks very good in the air.
Great puy and well built and you can get spare parts which is good back up.

Best flying plane I've ever owned. Excellent model, completely viceless in flight, my first model with retracts. Flies exactly where you point it, and good long flights from the cheapest of 2200mah batteries.

Was absolutely gutted when I dumb thumbed it in inverted, after about 2 years of faultless service. Going to get another now they are back in stock at last.

Very nice airplane, easy to fly, easy to land. I love it!
For me this was a perfect first plane. And I say ME, so not for everyone.
THIS IS NOT A BIGINNER PLANE!!
I already had one season of flying experience with a Bixler I borrowed from a friend so yea, thats why I went for this plane, and it was a good choise.

It flies really nice and easy, basic aerobatics are easy too. Inverted is no problem, dont try inverted loops though. But I personally think those are advanced aerobatic maneuvers, and this plane is not build for those.
It lands really easy, even without flaps. U shouldnt land this plane hard though, cuz the gear will break.
The lights are a nice add to the value too, they really show up at noon or on a cloudy day.

Overall a great plane, and for me with one season of flying experience at the time this was a perfect starter plane.

Tip: Buying some spare props is a must, because if you land and take off in grass you will brake them.

This is my 3rd Durafly model, but it should have been my first. It is a forgiving trainer - just as they advertised, no sign of tip stall that I'd suffered from with the Skyraider. My first few take off rolls were fairly long, but I have found that the smoothest take off is now with good power & flaps (was worried about tip stalling it, but was very stable). I've done 20 circuits now with only 1 heavy landing = yes the front stut is still a metal/plastic combination, but the trunnion is metal & I've had no issues with it. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone who has already got the basics mastered on something like a Bixler - very good next step up. I did have a problem with the wiring harness for CH2 & 4 as these had the lighting leads spliced in, but would not fit securely to the receiver pins. HK CS soon sorted that with a 1 female to 5 male connector! Very tidy, I now have all the lights combined on to CH4 (if anything goes wrong it's the CH you need the least). The manual is unfortunately laughable, I would have sympathy for anyone inexperienced attempting the wiring assembly. The minor short comings are just that, minor! Once you've got it set up right it is very enjoyable - can't wait to have my son flying his own one next!
