I tested this motor on a 140 gram depron Su-27 with a 3S lipo. I could not let it fly, it lacked speed and thrust. The fan is very unbalanced, and at home testing further, the motor and fan appeared to come loose from the housing. I am unable to disassemble the fan from the motor, because the screw head seems to be worn out (without having been used by me!).

I took a chance with this item and lost.

I transformed an X-20 (140 grams depron plane) to recieve this EDF. It is a little powerless but it works well.

It's a good bargain. to recommanded.

Not good.

Test set up: 20A esc. Battery 3S 11.1V 500mAh.

Result: Thrust 125 grams

THEN the fan flew off.

Examination: Crudely push fitted to shaft. Out of balance. Motor weakly mounted to housing.

SUMMARY: Not a good purchase. Not worth fitting to any aircraft that is good due to its unreliability.

Waste of money. Sorry

This EDF works well on an 150gr X20. It is not a monster of power with rhino 3S 460 but flies

Pretty good choice for a light

Feb 14, 2009

I found this item a good value-for-money choice to power a lightweight microjet in the range of 250-350 grams AUW.

I meansured some 140 grams of statich thrust with a current draw as little as 7 amps with a 3S setup, using both inlet and outlet ducts. My EDF complete with both ducts weigts just 40 grams, with wire connectors (gold 2 mm)and it's enough a 500 mAh 15C 3S battery for a cheap, very light setup

the edf is definitively NOT a power monster, when compared to hi-end combo like the Kyosho DF 45, that give almost double dtatic power, but it's very interesting for little foam or balsa jet.
