HobbyKing is excited to be carrying the full range of the ESUN brand of 3D printing filament. ESUN is recognised as one of the world's leading and most innovative manufacturers for 3D additive printing.
The PLA, ABS, Flexible, Luminous and many other types of materials are perfect for whatever application you have in mind. ESUN has established their brand recognition through their quality products and consistency, the filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.
PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when flexing, impact or torsional loads so the mechanical needs of the print project has to be evaluated.
PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short a great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead, and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl free print.
3D printing is a fun and exciting hobby with a wide range of uses from prototyping parts to making toys for the kids. Picking the right filament for your application is very important. Please visit the ESUN web site for more information as well as the recommended settings for your printer.

Very good quality product. It comes vacum sealed with a silica bag. The prints look amazing with this fillament, this is the best fillament I used so far.NOTE! Forgot about the default crown rating and just hit Post, I have corrected this.
I purchased 3 rolls of the black PLA and I have to say the quality matches the price (not very good quality product). It prints but has a very rough top surface finish with small pieces of black flakes released to the surface from the melted PLA, not sure what cheap additives are within this product to help make up cheap bulk in this material. Also it does not have the normal pleasant PLA sweet smell, it smells more chemical based.
I normally buy American PLA and am used to buttery smooth PLA Prints and material finish. But tried this because it was available locally in Australia.
This product just does not deliver, not sure what the hell Lulzbot are doing promoting it. I also use the E3D hot end as per previous reviewer (L2smith2) but his material must have come from a different manufacturer as my conclusions / experiences are different.
Not saying you should not buy this it prints but be aware of what you are getting for the price.

RegardsI just started printing with this filament and it prints fine on a Crafbot 3D Printer. Unfortunately I also found it broke today. I printed two days ago and today I looked at the filament and it's broken right before it goes into the feeding tube. It's just sitting there so I had not touched it since I printed so it looks like it may be a bit brittle even though it does print fine. This is not what you want to have if you print large prints. The last thing you want is for the filament to break after hours of printing. Needless to say I am just starting to use it, but only time will tell. I think this is more a manufacturing issue than how long it has been sitting at a warehouse since they come in a plastic sealed bag. But I'll keep testing it for now. Someone who had used this brand mention they got this at the end of their roll. I just started using mine, so this is why I think it's how they make it that makes the difference if it keeps breaking. I won't know just yet until I used it more. This is also just the first roll that I have opened up.I was sceptical filament this cheap would be any good so I bought it to use on parts that didn't need to be good quality. Very surprised how well this filament prints and has a nice smooth finish. No problems so far with layer or bed adhesion. Printing on a rostock max v2 with e3d hotend, 215C and 70C for heatbed (garage the printer is in is 10C) definitely worth buying a few rollsVery impressive. Comes in a nice retail box. Inside the spool is vacuum sealed in very strong clear plastic. Also some silica bags are shrinked inside, just in case.
