This little kit takes around 4hrs to build and will satisfy the throttle jocky in all of us!
The flycat comes with 56mm EDF and you will need a 25A ESC & 4800kv inrunner.
This plane is extremely fast, (over 100mph!), however still stable at slow flight.

Kit fits together well, light sanding of leading and trailing edges required to remove extra foam. We chose to not strengthen the wing with CF tubing, which didnt prove to be an issue, even at full speed high G turns.
We opted to mount the BESC being the battery area, in case the battery needed to be moved forward to adjust CofG, however this wasnt necessary.
EDF was mounted on the stick mount. Stick mount was shortened, with the extra piece used to raise the EDF off the stick to clear the EDF shroud. 2 bolts held the fan unit to the stick, one before and one after the fan blades.
We kept CofG 9.5cm from the apex of the wings leading edge. The flycat was hand launched at 3/4 throttle, accelerating quickly. To our surprise, no trimming was required.
The flycat is an extremely fast kit to fly, and required a lot of elevator in turns. We suggest putting the elevator on maximum throws. It needs HUGE amounts of elevator during turns!
Overall an excellent plane which flys smoothly, even on windy days.
We suggest a good lipo pack, as this little hotty will chew through a 1500mAh in only 5 minutes. We used the ZIPPY-R 1800mAh 22C 3S1P pack for around 8 minute flights. As compared to the ZIPPY-Q pack which brought us short at about 7 minutes.

A bit disappointed, I found out it's eps after I bought it! If it's half as tough as the skyfun I'll be happy with it :-)) great options with it edf or prop, WHY do they make these edfs where you have to buy SPECIAL long narrow motors to fit in them? I have a box full of spare motors none of which will fit the edf
Great little plane and great little price. I fitted a Dr mad 50mm 4800 EDF and squeezed a zippy 2200 3cell in the nose. Worth buying good control horns and a couple of earth magnets for the canopy. fly's very stable for a little plane, you can also fly as if you stole it.
For the money this is a great little model, fly's really well. Invest in better quality control horns and earth magnets for the canopy, I also fitted a Dr mad 50mm fan. a careful bit of thumbing the inside of the battery area allows a zippy 2200 3cell to fit nicely.
Used Turnigy 2610 4000KV, Turnigy Plush 40 Amp ESC, 1800Mah 20C and supplied EDF.
Speed a bit dissapointiung but it did fly and handle very nicely, sure needs a bit of power on when landing.
7mm throw on aileron, 12mm throw on elevator, 30pcntexpo. CoG at 110mm.
Will try 2610 5000KV next.
I am building my second Fly cat . ( the first one being still in fly condition ) .. I want to put a tri-axis gyro box (orange RX-3S which is the smallest ) on the 3 rudders .( which needs to carve some place inside the fuse )
But , despite the engine I choosed for N 1 was great ,(TGY 2815 , ID: T28151A4800 . 73 g ) I look for an other engine that should be less heavy : an INRUNNER , Out shaft diam : < 24mm . Kv 4800 . Power # 400W
Who can help me to find an other engine than the TGY 2815 EDF ?
The fan adapter in this kit has a 3mm diameter hole in it. Nearly all the inrunner motors have a 2mm shaft diameter. Can someone who is using the EDF post a source for an appropriate motor to fit the fan housing. Thanks

3S 1000mah nano tech, 3 HXT servo, 30A birdie and Turnigy 2632 Brushless Motor 3400kv 350W with 5x5 pusher prop. CG 9 cm from the crossing of the leading edge. Average max speed : 120 km/h Perfect flight, easy to launch and less than 50 $ all together. A lot of fun.
For more speed find another motor high kv, 500W, 3S.

Very cheap, simple good kit that flies well and very fast long your setup and COG is correct. Very fast build as its so simple, great jet especially people who have spare electronics laying around from dead planes. I added tiny bit lead weight to the front to correct C.o.G running 1300mah 3S 25C lipo, 4000kv outrunner and 30amp esc
