1:18 scale Rock Crawlers have become very popular over the last few years, FMS has become part of this fast-growing side of the RC hobby with this incredible Chevrolet-authorized Apache. FMS is one of the most experienced RC manufacturers today, and this replica's attention to detail is second to none. The full-size iconic Apache arrived in the mid-fifties as a commercial heavy-duty truck. The FMS 1:18 scale Apache perfectly captures the essence of the full-scale design as it was in the late 1950s and early 1960s with the round headlights and earlier grille. The accurate details include white painted bumpers and grille, opening hood, plated rearview mirrors and wheels, wraparound windshield, large rear window, and twin headlights. The realism continues into the interior with the detailed dashboard, steering wheel, and authentic-looking seats.

The underside of the Apache features a ladder-frame rigid metal girder chassis that’s capable of handling all the off-roading challenges you have in store. The aluminum frame rail chassis provides a durable and rigid platform, and the multi-link suspension tuned oil shocks allow for maximum axle articulation over rough terrain to maintain traction. The power from the high-torque gearbox is supplied to all 6 of the ultra high-grip tires via strong, nylon driveshafts. The six-wheel drive system provides more power and traction for smooth off-road fun, and the ability to tackle even more challenging terrain. Unlike a lot of vehicles on the RC market, the Chevrolet Apache has a rigid, painted, injection-molded hard bodyshell, this means it has highly accurate scale detail, plus it is tougher and more durable.

The FMS Chevrolet Apache boasts an impressive array of scale, and smart function lighting, behind the transparent lenses of the front and rear lights are working LEDs for day or night driving. Other lighting includes reversing lights, and operational turn signals.

The 1/18 scale FMS Chevrolet Apache all-wheel drive arrives ready to run, it is fully assembled and is complete with a full set of powerful, factory-installed electronics. These include a high-torque 050 55T brushed motor, 2-in-1 receiver/ESC, independent chassis-mounted steering servo, and a 7.4V (2S) 380mAh LiPo battery for up to 30 minutes of run time. You only need to charge the LiPo with the supplied USB charger, install 4 x “AAA” batteries into the included 2.4GHz transmitter, and you are ready to hit the off-road trails for some fun.
