Very low quality product. No instructions.

The paint peels.

In my case two servos are damage.

I'll be completely honest when I say that I never got a single good flight out of this plane. I'm a fairly good pilot, but this thing just isn't made to fly.

Mine was extremely tail heavy. I put a good chunk of clay lead weights up front and never made it far enough to get it perfectly balanced. The problem is that the amount of weight it takes to get it balanced affects the plane's ability to fly.

From what I've read, others have had better luck than I have. I still recommend trying to buy another plane.

I grabbed the v2 with the upgraded motor and some other changes. Added 2.5 oz nose weight. Add very low throws and fly. It flies like all dr1 and you need to use rudder. There is no bank and yank. There is nothing wrong with the model. It flew great and use a nano or high c battery. 4 mins max. When building scrap the paint off and use hot glue. Point at wind and use rudder to keep straight and fly it. Use power when landing. Will buy more to use for parkzone sonic combat with se5a and albatross. Thanks king.

I'd not recommend attempting to fly this model at all! Unless of course you just want to keep it as a scale house model. It is almost impossible to fly. It is very heavy up to 900 grams!!! The rudder is flimsy and not very strong. The paint flakes badly. The servos were sitting in raw fuselage foam rather than proper plastic screw in inserts (O dear HK?) hence I had virtually no movement on the rudder and elevator control surfaces until I re-glued servos to the silly foam base (why not put them on a plastic screw in inserts so they don't come lose HK?) Upon maidening this model, well nothing but disaster (even though I'm a rather experience park flyer myself). Overall a joke too heavy for a start and a flimsy build and flyer. I'm so sad that I am writing a review this bad on what is one of my favorite plane designs in history. I might have to just a get a fly-zone light weight micro Fokker if I want any chance of experiencing flying the historic Fokker Dr-1 Tri-Plane (which I indeed do). Good luck getting this one up and down in one piece!

Avoid this model, have just got it, not too bad BUT middle wing has considerable droop on it, and bottom wing has sweepback a la Tiger Moth. Good model spoiled by poor quality control. With past dealings with HK I will have to return the complete kit to get a replacement. Certainly will think twice in the future about buying HK own brand models :(

The plane arrived with cracks in the fuselage, the rudder came loose.

HobbyKing takes over a month to give me an answer hacerca of damage in shipping.

no assembly instructions, no screwdriver, the glue that brings not know how to use and brings the putty is not known for it.

Bought 30/11 and deliverd in italy by GLS 4/12, very fast delivery service.

The model was delivered in good conditions, very protective package.

The model: is fine, the epo is very strong and without imperfections, only the paint is a bit critical, you must be aware if don't want stripe the model, for best protect i have give an hand of transparent paint.

The CG: many forum speak about the very critical cg of this model, in the box is present a little block of clay, 50-55 grams of weight, put all the clay under the fake engine, many forum suggest to add other 30 - 40 grams of leads for obtain complessive weight 85 - 90 grams.

My Fokker still not maiden, in italy is too cold and wind in this day, i will make a first fly asap, i will write the impression. Good Fly and landing at all.
