The FrSky Amperage Sensor (FAS-100) can measure Current (A), Power Consumption (mAH) and Power (W) when connected between a battery and ESC. Current (A) and Power (W) will be displayed on the FLD-02, while Current (A) and Power Consumption (mAH) will be displayed on the DHT-U. The FAS-100 reports Power and Power Consumption without an external voltage sensor and, in addition, can be linked together to report individual cell voltages by using the FLVS-01.

Specs:
Model: FAS-100
Measurement range: 0~100A
Maximum safe current: 100A
Sensor current consumption: 33mA
Update Rate: ≥1Hz
Dimension: 38x30x10mm
Weight: 24g

I have the FAS-100 connected to the Variometer and then the Variometer connected to my X8R via Smart-port. It works just fine.

Very solid construction. PCB traces correctly designed to handle this power.

I think it's heavier than 24g declared but I don't have measured it.

Easy to install, just plug a connector directly on my D8R-II Plus (no sensor HUB) and I can immediately see Ampere in my FrSky FLD-02 (through DJT-II)

Superb item to use in all RC stuff. Cheap but top of the line system like Futaba. It just works. Buy with confidence.

Dont buy this sensor it is a FAS-40 with shunt resistor that can only measure 40 Amps and can be purchased much cheaper than this else where.

I just received two FAS-100 that didn't work. The voltage was working but no current. After a lot of trouble I opened the shrink wrap and discovered it is only and FAS-40 with FAS-100 label. The BATT and ESC positions are reversed between these two sensors. When I revesed my connectors I saw I had a working FAS-40. I notified Hobbyking and they said thanks and that is all. This is terrible customer support. They didn't even offer to send me the proper sensors I ordered! Not to mention they should send out an advisory to anybody who recently bought FAS-100 to warn them they could have a fire if they put 100 amps through the erroneous 40 amp device.

PROBLEM WITH THAT WRONG CONFIGURED FAS ?? (SEE PICTURE "DEFECT FAS 100" IN THE FILES !
I have 2 Versions of these. The old one is working perfectly a FAS100. But the new one FAS 100 much smaller than the old one is not working from beginning. I opened a Request and make Videos for HK. They give the money back after control.
Than I opened the FAS100 and I was wondering, what I see. On the circuit board is written 40Ampere and not 100Ampere???? I bought a FAS100 !!! And a 40Amp FAS you cannot order/is not in the store from HK and not listed???? So from where is that product. Than I make recherches in Google and I find a FAS 40AMP in a specialised store for FR-SKY.
What is going on here with HK??? Is there nobody controling what they buy?

Finally the version without plug. I have soldered a pair of XT90 to it. Great stuff for a great price.
