The FW190D or "Dora" as it was nicknamed was the Long Nose variant of the FW190A "Butcher Bird", without doubt, one of the finest fighters of WW2. The long nose came from the substitution of the original BMW radial engine for the water-cooled Jumo engine in order to improve high level performance, which was achieved with a slight loss in low level maneoverability. Although intended for high level bomber interception, fighters had become in such short supply by the time the FW90D was available, squadrons equipped with the "D" were mainly used in fighter to fighter combat.

The Hobbyking FW190D has a superbly moulded and tough EPO airframe that features an amazing amount of detail for a parkflyer and if that wasn't enough, the extensive moulded plastic parts, including the air intake, guns, exhaust stubs, retracted tail wheel and so on really finish of this wonderfully scale little model. This "Dora" is so nice, we have even included a display stand that plugs into the joiner for the carbon fibre wing spar!

Unlike some models in mini class, this 190D is capable of more than just scale flight, the pre-fitted brushless motor has plenty of power for fighter like climb-outs and aerobatics, the pre-fitted servo's are a perfect match for this superb flying mini warbird which boasts full 4 channel control making it capable of so much more than mere bank & yank flying. This is an exclusive Hobbyking design & production model of an amazing aircraft and it performs as good as it looks, it is a must for any warbird enthusiast, especially at this price!

This airplane have a big problem with the CG or need to balance with a lot of weight on the nose. After 3 crash, I broke 3 prop and my prop adapter. The foam is very tough but this airplane don't fly out of the box. I wait for more prop for more fly test.

This model is just what I expected. A small scale park flyer. The 2s 800mah batt was a perfect fit. Would have liked a little more room to move the electronics around, but everything fit nicely. Colors were nice and deep. Overall I am very pleased.

I tried the FW and it seemed to have insufficient power to haul itself. I tested 36 amps using the equipped prop and new charged 2s. If this is 10 oz plane I would expect closer to 70 watts.

Pretty ugly plane in the air and on display 2s battery not enough ,i put a 3s 1000 mAh and it really hauled a . Still was not real good to fly , bit of a handfull. Will try a different prop next time.Foam spinner works well in my pocket. Ok for display only.

Just starting to get to grips with EPO this warbird after being used to EPP profile warbirds. Looks strange in air as starboard wing is warped upwards, would not look so strange if port wing matched. Its like a larger version of the old COX micro warbirds but with the addition of ailerons. First couple of flights were with 2s 500mA at about 30W. Changed to 3s 450 mA with 7x3.5 prop at 45W. Better but still managed to tip stall out of attempted loop and crashed verticaly into ground but model saved by larger EPO nose spinner acting as a cushion. Straightened creases with hot water and replaced shattered cowl with base from 125 ml E45 cream tub base. Tried again with standard motor fitted with original 7x6 on 3s and flew better but kept bending motor shaft on landing. Got fed up with straightening it so fitted Turnigy SK3 series 1275 kV 2826 (these are nice motors) propped down with a flexible 8x4.3 and 3s 1000mA at about 80W.
Flying on grass so have had to tape over leading edge joint between fuselage and wing to stop grass being wedged and ripping into join on landing. Also had to snip off cannons flush.
By the time you learn a model it can be battle weary, but saying that all my flights so far have been in windy weather. Will see what happens when the wind drops and I have had more time to play with the settings.

Pretty good plane for the price, I had some issues attaching the elevator and other small problems, not to mention the horrendous paint scheme, but everything seems to be working, will take it for a fly ASAP

Good item in the complex . It replace in the light flight line my good old Eflite P40 overworked now. In fact, I really liked the Bf 109 but as the P40 the EPS sustain much less impact against the tall grass or landings in unprepared fields, scratching and ruining the model quickly although weaker points covered by special duct tape. The motor shaft protrudes much in front.. the spinner would be better if made of plastic also the cost of a few dollars more .. Terrible the tail NOT also made in EPO (EFP foam probably): sure will be the first to be replaced. Fun fast and stable enjoyed with 400ma -2s. With a bit of expo on trasmitter also good for those who have too much experience as long as flight high on the ground , with eagle' eyes (like all small model) so that you can recover it without the need for quick action. Passable but not truly the paint (left side fuse isnt present German cross too) Absolutely worth for little money spent

Great plane for the money. Mine flew fine on a Gforce 800 maH 2 cell, not brazing speed but fast enough for an easy launch, rolls and loops and scale flying. I'd guess faster than true scale. Battery fit fine in compartment provided and CG was perfect, even thought it is shown completely incorectly in the what passed for instructions. The rudder and spinner were broken off in the box but that was the only shipping damage in the double box. Everything worked out of the box, a first for my and HK. The paint scheme is very simple and uninteresting, and one decal is missing, so I added the decal and touched the paint up with a scheme copied from photos of various 190's and it looks great and is easier to see in the air now. I'd recommend this plane to any intermedate war bird flier. L think it a lot of model for the money.

It arrived in perfect condition, however the cross decal on the back was missing. I Maidened her today and it flew well and it can fly at just above 1/2 throttle. The spinner is quite durable but has a tendacy to fall off after a crash. I suggest you replace The propeller with 7x6 Master airscrew propellers as the stock propeller is quite brittle.
