I use this as an isolator between element and Heatsink. Always two layers for safety and with with thermal-transfer-compount on the element like double shottkys or so. Works perfect for me.

The same stuff they use to make up lipo batteries, but this tape is fairly wide, you may have to cut it down a bit.

This is Kapton tape. It is really good for insulating wires in transformers and motors. However, this tape will burn if there is a flame or if the wire temperatures get to high.
