Use for differential throttle with only one additional tx mix. With flip of designated tx switch I have dif. throttle for water taxi...turn off mix and have conventional rudder for flying. Ordering more for future multi-motor flying boats.

I bought this V-tail mixer as a replacement for the Turnigy V-tail mixers I bought earlier, but which gave a lot of jitter on my TowerPro miniservos. This one does not give jitter at all, instead nice and smooth movements and a neat position hold.

The leads to the receiver on this mixer are very short, only 5-8cm long. This in contrast to the 20cm or so leads of the turnigy. See for yourself if that's a con or a pro, for my application it was a definite pro as space is pretty limited in a 22cm boat.

A little pricey, but the superior performance justifies the extra cost just fine IMHO.

doesn't work as a V-tail mixer. Strangely, it will mix any two channels together, except for elevator and rudder. I can mix Elevator, Flaperon, "Throttlevator" etc. etc. but when I mix the two channels that you would normally expect from a "V-tail Mixer" (as the package describes it) it barely moves the servos at all. I've tried it with two transmitters and 3 receivers, plus the APM, always with the same result!

What for is this, if you have a mixer in your radio?

Now, I will tell you, why I use it istead of the radio mixer. This cheap thing makes it possible to use a gyro on both servos lets say on the ailerons. If you put the giro in front of that mixer on the aileron channel, both servos will act onthe giro as the input channels allway work on both servos. Same is possible but not common on elevator. If you have your mixer in the transmitter used, you could put a giro only on one servo, acting only on one of the two ailerons wich makes not really good work. With this very light weight part, there is a great solution to do that. Thats why I use his instead of my transmitter mixer on a small Elevon jet.

Great unit, I use it on a funjet ultra with a hobbyking T6A radio. Very small, light and tidy unit. Aileron and Elevator sockets are mislabelled, but once you get past that it works beautifully. Super smooth response, i believe it really is a 200 step mixer.
Highly recommend!
