I'm really surprised at the quality of this motor. I think it can do well above what the specs indicate. I've over-propped, running a 4.2x4.7 and have no issues. Extremely quiet little motor and very smooth. Build quality is really great. These are great little motors; I put four of them on a 90mm depron wing and it flies well; only trouble is the vibration from the prop-savers supplied is so bad, the grub screws worked out of one of the motor mounts and I'm having to use the screws out of a spare motor to replace them. They worked loose because they're too sloppy and the screws are such an odd size, I can't find an Allen wrench that fits properly. Hobbyking could fix this by supplying spare screws and a wrench, but I can't see them anywhere on the site.
To cut down the vibration I will be using prop adaptors PRODUCT ID: GS0151 instead of the prop-savers supplied-the product would be much better if these came as original equipment. This is quite a good motor. It's my first low kv micro motor. Until now, I haven't really put it to the test, since I've only used small props. It doesn't get hot. I like the prop saver design and the bell is quite well balanced. At certain rpms (lower to middle range) it produces somewhat unpleasant noise, even with a balanced prop. I've run it with Turnigy Plush 6A, without any issues. The motor mount has enough surface to simply glue it to depron, which saves the weight of the screws.Very nice small motor. Perfect for building micro models.I read the duscussions, I read the review. I have a different opinion of my own.
Value, amazing. Quaility, very nice.
When I recived mine, I was shocked at how small it is. No wonder some had problems with broken wires, they are small and very fragile. be very delicate with the windings.
On the scale, mine weighs 6.2 grams with the motor mount, and on a 2s lipo, I can not agree with the 90 rated grams of thrust. My model came out to 2oz even, and the airpane will not climb out of a hover. So that is only 56 grams of thrust. The plane is still fun to fly.
In all I gave it a 5 because This motor is so small and the price can not be beat.
e^pjrsthdbl sfg,d k fjhfsdbfqcfqsd qdqfvbNot sure why my review was to short, there is not much to say about this motor other than it sucks. The trust with the recommended prop was not 90G, the most I have gotten out of it is 64g. I've had three of these motors now, each has broken after 2-6 flights.Avec une 4x2.5 un variateur 6A et un lipo 2S lger, le Mini Polyclub vole comme un charme.
Super small lightweight engine, used to complete satisfaction, a good choice for the money :).
