Looks can be deceiving. This outrunner is around twice the size of a towerpro bell motor, and swings a much larger prop. Its the motor used on some of Art-techs new plane kits, which is testiment to its durability, ease of use and quality.
The DT700 will swing an 11x4.7 SF prop nicely, to produce more than 900g of thrust.
Its great for larger GWS foamies or parkfly planes.

Test Report.
We used this outrunner to power the an Art-tech Pitts. Run with a 1300mAh 3S1P 20C pack, 18A BESC and 1147 GWS/Towerpro prop, the Art-tech pitts ran nicely. Excellent climb rate, though not hoverable, and with 13minute flight times or more, we were very impressed.
A very efficient outrunner for slower flying models of up to .15 size.

very powerful bell motor, i ts almost equal in performance with a 35xx motor 920k, except that its half the price , also it can handle 4s easily, if 10-12`prop-=25amb esc
if 13 prop= 30 a esc

Using this motor with a 30 Amp car ESC for an ROV project. So far preliminary tests are working nicely. It produces quite amount of thrust with my 57mm boat props, while submerged. the only problem I've had is that the set screws in the base seem to strip fairly easily, and I've had to drill an indent to keep the control wires from coming loos and flopping around.

These motors are ok for scratchbuild multirotors, but you will soon find they are a bit sluggish. You need to epoxy the wires which I am sure has been stated, but I ruined two motors before I did it correctly. I used Amazing Goop for ease. I have these on an h-quad, but they make a lot of vibration. I think all bells have that as they have such a small support, but large bell. For the price I'm sure you can find better motors that spin freely and have no need for modification.

Good motors ....for the price....the issue is you can't really tighten props as if you try to screw the props too tight the shaft has a tendency to slip and cause the end ring clip to push against the bottom bearing causing the motor to run like its a bit jammed...gummy feel...I would go for the zip tie method to mount props....better bearings would be great....and neater windings would make this a killer deal....I don't think patrons would mind paying a couple of dollars more for this...all in all it is a great motor for a cheap not so trusty multicopter

good motor, altough winding is not the best quality.

If you crash your plane and shaft bends, there is no replacement parts for it.
