OK Due to all the shipping problems HK is having it took about a month before I got this.. But for me it was worth it.. It is a direct replacement for the Trex 500.. Mine had no metal parts except for the barring blocks but then neither did the original Trex Frame I'm replacing.. Quality looks to be every bit as good,, I giv it 5 out of 5

Mine came with a plastic tail boom case and gear assembly. I'm a bit disapointed with Hobby King.

All metal parts except the bottom plate. Great replacement if you need to buy a complete new body for you Trex 500. Cheap alternative to part replacement.

Good quality frames the base plate should be exchanged for the aluminium 3 piece unit. The aluminium tail support is too heavy 60g as apposed to stock which is 43g. Mismatched machining makes it look unsightly. Lower bearing bore on the splitline is not lined up causing binding on pulley spindle bearings. I have discarded this unit for stock tail support.

I was surprised as cleanly the chassis was made.

The fit is absolute in order, however, the base plate should be exchanged for the aluminium plate.

This seems expensive until you take into account all the extra bits included. Metal bearing blocks, battery tray, radio tray, motor mount and boom holder. They make it really good value. (plastic frame base and anti rotation bracket though)

Good quality carbon/glass fibre frames. Metal battery plate, main bearing holders and tail boom holder. Plastic

bottom plate. The boom holder

has two extra screws instead

of pins in the middle. Also metal electronics tray and canopy pins.
