Good alu base plate. Perfect for 500 T-Rex. But the front M2.5 bore hole is not deep enough for the srews which are included in delivery. Have to bore deeper and to edit thread deeper, than it works very well. In all: good item!

This piece is very important. by rigidity 'structure reduces vibration and is very light, essential for all trex500. I recommend it to everyone.

Ok quality. The metal is a bit thin and the shinier one that's more expensive offered by HK is far better quality. You can see bends in the metal which means it isn't very rigid. I can see this snapping or cracking under a hard landing. This piece is ok. I bought it mainly because I hate using self tapping screws into the plastic base. This base allowed me to use machine screws. Another pet peeve was that the threads for the skid is the incorrect size. The included screws are too big and you will strip the threads if you try to screw them in. Sizing is incorrect. Poor quality control there. I had to drill out the threads and use a screw and nut to secure my skid. Meh, I say pay the extra money and get the more expensive one. I have that one as well and it's far better both visually and structurally.

Well machined and excellent fit on clone 500. Nice bit of bling! Not for trainee pilots though as it won't forgive hard landings and will bend and/or crack.

Nice quality upgrade at a good price.Adds extra strength to your heli.Mine was more of a gunmetal(dark grey)colour but this is the same as the head and tail boom so it looks good.Better than the stock plastic part
