Introducing the new HobbyKing FPV260 Drone, a mini sized drone with big FPV capability.

The New FPV260 is 10mm larger to help with those 6 inch props and has a new up swept arm design. The up swept arm provides fast forward flight stability and helps with descent wobbles as the prop wash is thrown out, allowing for the quad to descend into clean air.

This durable, inexpensive FPV multi-rotor platform is perfect for FPV racing or obstacle course flying at your local field.

The glass filled nylon one-piece frame is extremely durable, giving you the confidence to go FPV-barnstorming and yet only weighs 120 grams. The front platform is designed to handle up to a 2 servo pan and tilt camera setup and the rear platform supports the video transmitter, to keep it all nice and balanced. The FPV260 has a center bay, large enough for most popular flight controllers and includes a top crash cage for protection. There are four integrated strap slots on the bottom to securely hold the battery in place for high G maneuvering. The FPV260 motor mounts can handle anything from a 1506 to 2208 motor and the vented arms provide plenty of cooling for your 7~12A ESCs.

The HobbyKing FPV260 is a budget minded FPV basher (and what a frame!), ready for daredevil obstacles or Spec ClassFPV racing. It’s time to start practicing your FPV skills, race season is getting ready to start!

Features:
• One piece glass filled construction for durability
• Large 55x55mm cage protected flight controller bay
• Mounting Support for a 2 servo pan and tilt camera and video transmitter
• Wide range of motor and power options
• Removable landing gear

Good Frame for the price

Jul 31, 2017

Sufficient for a molded fiberglass frame. Free Advice: Don't try gluing broken parts, they wont hold no matter what you use. New pilots (like myself) should get carbon fiber frames. The durability is worth the added cost - the lighter weight/greater performance is a perk.

These are NOT strong frames. And (obviously) its all one piece. If you crack an arm you gotta rebuild the whole drone. Glue only lasts an hour or so then your motor flies away with the broken arm, lol. I've done it twice now, and it just seems like a massive waste of parts. The recent crack I have is in the Velcro strap slot, and I'm thinking its due to a bad molding of the plastic (its tweaked and any sort of rough landing will release the pressure in the frame). But the REALLY bad thing is that these are the OLD version, the new version has better Velcro strap holders on the side.

Great little frame for being crafty, I've been having fun with this frame. I'm using Turnigy 1806-2280kv Emax Motor Set Of 4 CW/CCW, Ultralite Afro 12A ESC's, HK Mini PDB, the HK Mini Flight Controller Mounting Base 30.5mm and Naze32 with right angle header pins. I broke a couple of the legs and designed some legs using zip ties, check out the legs in the Files section!

I love this frame. I do wish there were a little more ground clearance for the battery with the stock landing gear. Some additional cargo space in the front and rear web for FPV gear would be good too. Otherwise I am a big fan of the "unibody" construction .

Great frame for the price. I picked up two as I wanted one as a spare and ordered the longer frame kit from diatone on here. Makes mounting items pretty easy, however, I had to drill holes for mounting my Naze32 FC. One thing I really like about this frame is the durability in comparison to a fibreglass frame. My total rig with gear including battery 1400mah multistar is 425 grams.

I swapped my fpv 250 L over to this 260. Cage bolted on no problems. Huge improvement in speed, smoothness and stability. vid here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbNtCy60VKo.
Due to the arm angle there is not much more prop clearance than the 250. Well worth the upgrade
