I bought one of these, but it is exactly what it looks like CHEAP AND NASTY... O it works sort of OK, but the display is Crap IT NEEDS A BACKLITE !!! it is impossible to read on a sunny day (I live in Australia, were the Sun shines most of the year :) ) I am now looking for a watt meter that has a LED display not a LCD display .Any recommendations ??

Works an absolute treat! Great value. The little voltage display only comes on when the switch is ON. But this can easily be modified by cutting the two wires going to the 7 segment display and soldering to different pads, to always show input voltage regardless of the switch which will then only control the BEC. Wonderful!

Never worked - could not activate calibrate function, button to activate calibration feature fell inside casing. Re assembled switch with same result.

The button on mine was broken upon receipt, but hobbyking promptly issued a refund without requiring the item to be shipped back.

Received mine 3 days ago. Works only intermittently. When it suddently decides to work, the precision is terrible. Shows a 1A current event without a load (ESC) connected.

Mine is going back.

Avoid at all cost.

Very useful tool to define the approximately power and the electrical consumption of the motors.

I cannot say anything about the accuracy of the measurements because I did not compare it with any other tool.

The device is very poor made. Start up is very long, screen is hard to see and the button is hardly hold in the hole.

But it is a good tool for occasionally use.

Got it a few weeks ago.
Voltage measurement not accurate 1V
Current measurement not accurate 0.5A
Calibration not working.
Hold function not working.

Can be used only if you don't need the Hold and don't much care for the accuracy.

Good luck.
