Good ESC. Bec slightly too weak

Nov 21, 2022

The price is great and I have had no problems with these conrollers in the past and I use a few of them. But the Bec is only 5Volts and not really stable especially you have more than 4 Standard servos in your plane. I see the Voltage drop of the RX drops sometimes down below 4,3Volt at least for some seconds!! I recommend highly to solder an external 6V/6A UBEC Parallel to your power supply connector. The ESC comes without connectors und the Motor wires are really short. Be careful about the BEC otherwise a fine product with a very low price.

Sehr gut - funktioniert einfach

Good quality for price.

Product came when advised and was well packed.
Speed controller works superbly and runs quite cooly, only just gets warm when pushed. A good buy.

Simple, Great Value and Does the Job!

Feb 03, 2022

I bought the Red Brick 70A ESC to install in the HK 1800mm Cub, powering the excellent Propdrive 35-48 900KV motor. I am very pleased that I chose this ESC in preference to some of the more expensive options as it has turned out to be a very good buy indeed.
Simple, robust and easy to program using a transmitter, once you familiarise yourself with the different tones - I recommend this excellent tutorial when setting up your new Red Brick;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGXI81HUTJI&ab_channel=BensonFilmworks
I did remove a portion of the heat shrink covering over the heat sink fins to aid cooling, which appears to be a common practice - easy to do and effective.
All in all, an excellent choice of ESC at a very affordable price. I thoroughly recommend it for fixed wing models.

Stay away!

Dec 20, 2021

With a lot of promising reviews here, I got two my newly acquired (and beloved) Duelist. One died on the second flight, causing a stall and irrecoverable spin which turned it into a big pile of match sticks.
The more disturbing news is that the full throttle current draw for my setup was a mere 50A per each motor and I went to 70A just to be on the safe side for this specific plane. That seemed not to work at all!
