This stunning looking Sbach 340 is a pure, mean, 3D machine! The superb Ultra-light construction, which features a sheeted spine fuselage for strength, keeps the flying weight minimal, couple this with a 30cc gas engine or Turnigy electric equivalent and you have unlimited vertical performance!

The wings and horizontal stabilizers are plug in for easy transport, the tailfeathers are not flat sheet but full aerofoil, the control surfaces are easily large enough for 3D maneouvers. Rudder is pull/pull and high quality ball linked control rods are used throughout for precision and reliability. The pre-applied covering is glossy and of a very high standard, the colour scheme is ideal for orientation and is a just that little bit different. This is a high quality 3D model that is also an ideal everyday sport flyer when set up on low rates, either way, it''s a real performer and a real looker!

I set this plane up with a EME35 and it flys really well. It is heavy for a 30cc plane, I built mine very light and it came in at exactly 12 lbs. The EME35 swings a 20x9 falcon cf prop at just over 7000 rpm on the ground and hauls the plane around great. It has a few quirky tendencies that are probably normal with sbachs, but over all will do just about any 3D maneuver. It tracks straight and locks into a very stable upright and inverted harrier.

I bought this Sbach 300 for 206 Euros and first I did not expect too much from the kit.
When I opened the box I was gladly surprised by the high quality how the plane was built. Also it is very good finished with almost no wrinkles. Just the canopy was not really clear and the cowl has too much down thrust on the front but for that price it was no problem for me.
I mounted a light 6350 370K/V Motor under the cowl with a YEP 150A ESC and an AMAX 20A UBEC. On the ailerons I used TY 1256TG servos and on Rudder and Elevator just one Savx TG 1256 20kg Servo. I did not use 2 Elevator servos due to reasons of weight and balancing and so I connected both halfs with a hard 3mm U-wire. With a 6S 45C 4500mah Lipo and wooden 21x10 E-prop I get about 2,2KW maximum input Power and a measured thrust of 8,5kg. This setup has awful power because the plane weights just 4,7kg and the flying time is 6-8 min pattern mixed with 3D. This Sbach flighs like on rails and it is very easy to handle. It lands almost by itself. The only really negative thing is the rear landing gear. It has to be changed to e stiffer one because it is useless. The alloy is simply too soft. I will change the alloy tubes to carbon ones and mount bigger wheels for grass. For this price and what you get for it I give Hobbyking 5 Stars. It costs ready to fly not even the half as when you buy it somewhere else.

I have only recently moved into petrol power and started with the yak 54 and a dle 30 only purchased the dle as that capacity was not in the uk w/hse at that time. Very pleased with that model from HK. Been looking for a follow on for a while and the sbach took my fancy. when I spotted them in the flash sale that settled the matter (cant resist a bargain) the pictures don't do justice to the actual product which is quite mind blowing even at a non sale price I would recommend it. Awaiting the servo's and a new engine I cant wait to put it together and fly. if you are looking for something like this, treat yourself you wont be disappointed!!!

The CG on the Sbach is 1cm behind the wing tube, this is overall best CG for this model, however if you are more into precision flying, the CG should be 1 cm in front of the wing tube, for 3D, do not go more than 2cm behind, as it would cause the plane to be too sensitive pitch wise.

Trauriger after sale service!.

Excellent model, very good quality build very pleased with it. This model is made by vantex which i found in other shops for a lot more than the price here. Excelent value.
Canopy not 100pcnt fit but not a big problem. Had to make longer pushrods for the elevators, ones in the kit to short. Every part was well packed and no damages or scratches. Delivery and comunication was very good. Cant falt anything.
