The servo in my kit did not turn although you can hear the motor run.
The Motor supplied with the kit did not start easily, fails to start, or runs poorly when it does.
Both Very Poor Quality items.
Now faced with the complicated returns procedure or extra expense for a motor and servo.

The almost ready to run version not so ready and not such good value as you first perceive.
Very nice model had to wait seven weeks for backorder but all worth it can the motor cables be colour coded would help a lot
Das teil macht richtig spass und jetzt noch getunt geht das teil richtig gut..... leiter ist die mitgelieferte lufschraube wie mitnehmer sollte man immer ersetzen, wegen zu hocher umwucht.... tuning setup
Turnigy Plush 40A Regler....Turnigy Auenlufer 2200 KV....Turnigy 3s Lipo 1300mah.....Luftschraube CAM SPEED PROP 5,5/5,5 .....

top boot, fr den preis unschlagbar.
es ist beim hobbyking deutlich gnstiger als bei anderen verkufern.
und auch die mglichkeit ersatzteile fr das boot zu kaufen ist super.
Excellent article except for the servo support which I remodeled. Moved the steering servo to the right side and made a whole for the Lipo battery. The support was created through 3d printing. See: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1060587
For its price I did not expect too much from this boat. But having assembled it and had it on the lake what an excellent boat it turned out to be. It is fast and turns very quickly.
All the screws were secured with screwlock all of them are still secure after a lot of running at full speed.
A plush 30A ESC and Zippy 1000mAh Lipo provide the power. Control is via an Oange 6channel DSM2 receiver.

If you are looking at its description and thinking "should I buy it?" the answer is "Yes" if you want to have a lot of fun on the water.
Nice boat! I'm using a Turnigy Plush 18A and 2s-1000mAh Zippy and 3s-850mAh Zippys.
It's great fun!
In the following video the swamp boat ist playing with a Skipper and a Catalina:

This air boat is awsome!! i used the HobbyKing 30Amp esc PRODUCT ID: F-30A, and i paired it with a 1000mah li-po battery from ValueHobby, and i am using a flysky gt3b radio with HobbyKing PRODUCT ID: HK-GT2_RX ,a nd it all works great! now for the boat you will have to assemble it completely the only thing that is assembled is the bottom portion of the boat. the sticker pack that comes with it is placed in the bottom of the box and will need to be placed flat as they come somewhat wrinkled, but they are pre-cut for easy application. the brushless outrunner is plenty powerful and the prop at least mine was well balanced for this airboat. also this thing will go over almost anything!! to be honest it is pretty fast!!!

i hope that this will help aid in the purchase of this air boat from HobbyKing..
I run with a AXN-2208-2150 motor and 30a car esc with reverse and 3s 1300mah battery. Had to turn the motor mount around to move the cg back. Put a removable cloths hanger on the nose wrapped in tape (prevents weeds from wrapping around it) as a bumper to use as a rescue boat. Also put a voltage alarm inside. Run with a 6x4 prop.
The motor is perfect size replacement for stock and fits motor mount. The ESC must be set to high degrees for this motor. Use alot of expo if driving in snow.
