    Product Description

    The Edge 540 3D is the latest addition to the HobbyKing® ™ performance / 3D range of models. Based on the popular international aerobatic aircraft which competes in the real unlimited class circuit. The Edge 540 is supplied as plug and fly so all you will need is your own transmitter, receiver and battery to get you up and flying. The Edge 540 also has some unique features, including a thick trailing edge rudder which provides the pilot with more stability, smoother response and can prevent flutter at high speeds.    

    As you would expect, the Edge 540 is made from super tough EPO foam, additional strength is provided by a lightweight plywood motor mount and battery compartment that extends into the fuselage. The Edge 540 is simple and quick to build and easy to disassemble with its 2 piece wing, making it ideal for transportation to and from your favorite flying site.

    All servos are pre-installed, the elevator / rudder servos have plenty of torque for aggressive 3D manoeuvres. Also pre-installed is the powerful 380Kv brushless motor and 100A ESC, a 2 blade prop is supplied to provide maximum performance and efficiency.

    This fantastic looking Edge 540 offers both the 3D pilot and sport pilot a very capable model with great performance and presence, the large control surfaces are perfect for just about any manoeuvre you care to throw at it, just make sure you have plenty of batteries to hand!

    very good flying plane. with 6S 5000 its necessary to make some small modifications to place the battery in the right position for the correct Center of gravitation.

    Super Modell und sehr gnstig .Leider muss man viel nacharbeiten bis alles passt.
    Der Akku passt nicht in die Aufnahme ,diese ist zu weit vorn ,also Abtrennung raus
    und den Akku etwa 8-10cm nach hinten dann stimmt der Schwerpunkt. Fliege die
    Edge mit 6S 6000mAh 35c (etwa 800g), 8Minuten bei Volllast. Kann dieses Modell
    fr diesen Preis nur empfehlen.

    Well Mr HK and fell ow HK pilots, This EPO Edge 540 is:
    The easiest build with positive fit of all control services ( except for misalignment of tailplane rod requiring my EPO expert and best mate Steve to perform open heart)
    CG obtained easily no extra weight required
    Best maiden flight ever for me...one click of down trim
    Vertical half throttle
    Inverted hands free tweet throttle
    She floats with low throttle
    First landing good gor me was a bit heavy...under cart up for it
    Taxis a treat

    Make due you secure receiver,,,,,mine was not...I think mine moved with aerial touching alloy spar.....lost total control...went in low noise at 45* not pretty
