My maiden review is below. Thought id follow up. Last sept I finally bent the motor shaft straight enough since they never came in stock. Went to fly on a windy day and couldnt get her airborne. Seemed tailheavy so after 2 failed takeoffs I took her home before I broke anything. I added an ounce to the nose even tho it seemed balanced on the bench. Took her up a couple weeks ago, late april. Perfect day. 0 wind. At full throttle it was okay. The moment I brought it under half throttle, at least 150ft up, she had no glide and went into the same death spiral I saw the first flight. I could put her back together but Ive lost my enthusiasm for this bird. She was going to be my night flyer. My HK P-51 I bought at same time has at least 100 flights now and has been flawless. I dont see anyone else with these problems on the Cub so guess I just got a dud. =(

06/01/2013. Bought this plane in summer 2012.

It's beautiful, good material but it can't fly because it's very hard to balance it right.

The adviced 1000mAh LiPO isn't good to balance the plane! It's too tail heavy and adding weight in the nose make it very unstable because the weight need to be placed in all the plane not only in the nose.

In the third and last attempt i putted almost 100g of weight in the nose but it still look a bit tail heavy. After less then a minute he started a rotation on itself and crashed badly (i think because of the too much weight all in the nose trying balancing it).

Crappy plane! wasted 99 $ for the plane and 50 for the shipment!

I think the decathlon could be a better deal if you make the changes that you can find on youtube to balance it right! This changes cannot be made in this piper cub because it's not all foam but there is also an hard plastic (where the pilot sits in) that you can't easily cut and even if you do this spend more on this very scale plane is a non sense if you have to change everything!

I ordered this plane from overseas. It took over a month to arrive. It says in item description it takes a couple of extra days so I didnt expect it sooner. Packaging was nice and no damage upon arrival. Locktighted the left wheel as suggested. Bound to an orange 6ch rx no problem. Motor has some power to it on a Zippy 3s 1000 25c. Then i found one of the aileron servos to be glitchy. I bought some decent servos on ebay for the ailerons as I hear the CS at HK will want me to ship the servo back overseas so I didnt even bother. Took her out for a maiden flight. Right before I went up I commented on the super low amount of throw on the elevator. Figured it would be alright. It wasnt. She just wanted to climb. Full down elevator and half throttle would barely get me to level flight. Full throttle put it in loops no matter where the elevator stick was. Ended up crashing down in a death spiral from 100 ft up. Surprisingly the plane isnt too bad off. Small crack in wing and fuselage which were easily fixed with glue and can barely be noticed. Bent motor shaft which is a bummer since there are no replacements in stock, so Im grounded. The culprit? Elevator servo has the horn cut down to a nub and the connecting rod is in the closest (and only remaining) hole. I replaced the servo horn and moved the connecting rod way out. Looks like I have proper throw now. Ill upload pix of the way t
